Check in was easy and smooth. When we got to room the blanket on bed was stained. They did come change and it was really nice about it but it was gross. Bed was soft and slept well. We went to breakfast and Holiday Inn Express is always advertising hot breakfast and it was all cold. Went to breakfast at 8:30. No warmers on the food. Business was used and nice. This hotel I've stayed before and it needs a update. For the price we paid not sure it was worth the value.

The staff at the front desk and in the dining area were so helpful and accommodating to me and my friend's elderly mother, who has mobility and cognitive issues. Our room was clean and comfortable, but there was not nearly enough lighting available to read. There were parts of the lower wall in the bathroom that were crumbling and in need of repair (probably from where water from the shower soaked them). The front of the hotel was pleasant, but was backed by an empty lot, and our ground floor room looked out onto it and some dumpsters. I found the U-turn from 287 North to be tricky in heavy oncoming traffic from the southbound lane and had to be careful when turning right onto the short driveway because of a big pothole on one side. The hotel is just about 10 minutes north of the NRS Ranch, and not far from Decatur dining and other services.
