Perfect for a large family

This house has quick access to peak 8 which I love. Peak 8 is like the hub of this mountain in my opinion. Lots of large chairs. Also close to downtown. It is the best of both worlds. Has enough rooms, a nice hot tub. Only thing I would change is maybe a larger kitchen. Other than that, it was a very nice stay.

Fall Weekend

Great location, lovely neighborhood. The unit was very clean, but a bit dated. Very prompt and appropriate communication with the management company. The exterior deck of the unit was under construction which was unannounced to us. However the management company responded immediately and compensated us appropriately.

Great place to stay

Loved the property. The check-in and check-out process was very simple. Rely on shuttles to get to the lifts or to town, but they were pretty convenient!

Best Breck Spot!

Had the best time at this cozy winter home. Had everything you needed and so close to town/mountain - the hot tub was a major plus after a long day on the slopes. The only thing missing were cloth napkins, candles and dinner placemats. That would have been nice to have for our home cooked dinners other than that it was everything and more for our ski vacation! Will definitely be back.

Close, but not as convenient as we thought

I clearly understand that this location is not ski-in/ski-out, but given it's proximity to Peak 8, we thought it would be manageable, it was difficult every day. Pro's: 1. Unique floor plan 2. Heated garage (great for ski gear) 3. Large hot tub Con's: 1. Not convenient for skiing (assume this is similar for all properties in similar proximity). 2. Shuttle location is a long walk with ski equipment (i.e. boots). 3. Shuttle (bus) is not very timely, plan on long waits 4. The walk to the base of Peak 8 is brutal (we did this one morning) 5. The walk to the 4 O'Clock run to ski down to the Snowflake lift is not possible with average snow depths unless you follow the road around (see #2). 6. Pick up from the 4 O'Clock is possible but you'd have to have a non-skier drive to meet you, or someone from you group walk back to the condo and then drive down to retrieve the balance of the group. 7. The mattress's are in need of replacement 8. Suggest an air mattress (I read this from another review, thank you) the pull out couch is nearly unusable. Bottom line is we had a good stay, and the spectacular skiing is most likely making this review more positive than it should be. But the morning/evening logistics to get to and from Peak 8 was extremely stressful. I'd use caution if you do not have a non-skier, or a third party transportation arranged, to get to and from the Peak of your choice.

nice location to town /older property

we are long time visitors to summit county and found this property to be a typical mountain condo--heavily used by renters with older furnishings-- adequate. having to drive to an office to pick up the codes and keys to the property is a hassle after traveling cross country/ driving up from Denver, and arriving at 10pm. Do not agree that the property can handle 10 guests. Sleeper sofas from the 1990's need to be replaced.--we bought an air mattress in lieu of using the downstairs sleeper--the kitchen/ family room was an excellent gathering place and the hot tub was superb. I was struck that the management company offered nothing for what was essentially an entire night without power. Colorado Energy shut off power at 6pm--no way to run an asthma nebulizer machine or the humidifier--clean anything/ came back on after midnight. Would have been nice to get a call from Summit Mountain asking if we needed anything--nope--nothing--you're on your own--i asked for any adjustment in the price---'not our fault' they said--yeah, i get that--it's not my fault either, but we paid 10K for accommodations, most businesses would recognize no power as a legitimate reason for an adjustment--as an aside, i have a automatic generator at my property that i rent--and would refund money if my guests were out of power. Also , the 10 am 'strict' checkout is kind of a joke--11 am is early enough--staff was in the driveway at 0950.

Great Family Staycation

We were pleasantly surprised with the property as it exceeded our expectations. It suited all of our needs and even though there wasn't a lot of snow, we still had an amazing time at the house. It was well spaced, cozy, and warm. It was more than accomodating for all 8 of us.

lovely

Very nice property and a reasonable price. However, many of the pots and pans were not clean or even not usable; the non-stick coating all rubbed off ...A broken shade not fixed and beer can and cigarette butt left on the deck In addition the stairs carpet very dark ....I rate housekeeping very poor.

Great for a short getaway

Renting this property was great. It was 6 of us and we LOVED the hot tub on the cool nights. Property was close enough to town, for some shopping and wine tasting, but far enough to have a little bit of a seclusion. The open concept on the main floor was awesome because it let us hang out, laugh, cook and play games all together. It was a great weekend!

Nice place, could use an update

The good news is it is easy to walk and get on slopes and trails. But the carpet was really (really) dirty. No other issues of cleanliness, but an overall update would make the place better. Also, the photos make it hard to tell, but the split level layout was a bit challenging for us with little kids, but worked great for our teenager. A few other glitches inside, but we saw lots of wildlife and the private hottub is a major plus.
