The Victoria Inn has always been my favourite hotel in Brandon and is my go-to place to stay there. Their staff are friendly and helpful. Check-in is fast and easy. The rooms and facilities are always clean. They continually refresh their rooms as they always feel like they are brand new. The heated floor in the bathroom was nice. Highly recommended.

Skin deep luxury

Pros: Good restaurant, excellent location.
Cons: Those luxury bath fittings are kind of useless with such low water pressure.
Location: Excellent Indian restaurant in the strip mall across 34th street.
Ownership has clearly invested in making the place look like a business class hotel, but it is all on the surface. Underneath is an old, thinly constructed motel. This would be a great place to book a meeting room (those places look great) but maybe not to stay. Thin walls, VERY noisy when the place is busy. I could clearly hear conversations taking place in the hallway as if the folks were in my room. Worse luck, on my hallway were families having some kind of party, running back and forth between rooms. Twice I asked the front desk to help out; staff promised to send security around, but I never saw any action. 11:30 pm, still kids running up and down the halls shouting. Grrrr.

Paper-thin walls

Cons: Walls! Insulation! Soundproofing! And when I complained to the front desk they only looked at me helplessly. No discount offered. Nothing.
While the hotel looks just fine, clean and relatively modern, the walls were so thin that I struggled to sleep. For the price charged for this room, I found it unacceptable. If I had been at a cheap motel I would have understood. But this is a hotel with airs. It would like to be thought of as a luxurious place to stay. Not so when you hear the conversations in the next room clearly.

Overall, it has been a comfortable stay, the check-in was fast and easy, the friendly staff where patient due to a glitch on my credit card/atm thing. they didnt make me feel i was annoying. I have stayed here prior and its been great, this trip there was a couple of bus loads of kids. and you know how that goes but by 11pm when the pool closed for the night all was well. I honestly didnt mind, my child enjoyed the pool so much we swam for 3 hours.

Property very well maintained and in good condition. Open pool courtyard lovely for families and allows relaxation. Staff very friendly and helpful.
