Maybe if it was 1/2 the price?! At one point likely very nice, but now old, tired and not cleaned well...Large bug/beatle/cockroach jumped out in living room...one v tiny waste basket in the bathroom, nothing more and there was even a kitchenette. Old grime left behind in kitchnette...or something. If they cleaned it up and refreshed it it has great potential. Neighborhood quiet and close to the train station...the only advantage!

Really nice stay really convenient location for the station and Bordeaux city centre just a tram journey. Room was spacious and clean, shower was ok but wasn’t that powerful, only one iron so if you wanted it you had to hope no one else was using it. Would highly recommend due to location and the quietness of the place.

3 minute walk to Bordeaux Gare St Jean train stati

The staff were extremely helpful and friendly especially Aurore. They helped us arrange a driver to Margaux on Saturday when the trains were disrupted by the Medoc marathon. Great location for travelling by train within the region. 30 to 40 min walk to city centre but plenty of buses and trams to get there. Not so great if you like to walk around your hotel, and hang out at the cafes and people watch. We stayed at the Anouilh room which is a 2-storey room/studio - the bedroom is upstairs but the shower and WC are downstairs, and we found it rather inconvenient going up and down the stairs to use the WC especially in the middle of the night.

Great cozy spot

We had a fantastic time at Villa Segur. It's absolutely perfect if you need to get to Gare Saint Jean with ease and efficiency. The receptionist was an absolute treasure and the kindest.

Property listing claimed it was air conditioned. The actual room was in a back corner with no air conditioning and little natural ventilation. Terrible.

Property is lovely, everything is decorated beautiful and you can tell it’s all very newly refurbished. The property is well situated, very close to the main station and a 10-15 minute walk from the main promenade. The property was clean however noticed some hairs in the bed which was a shame. There was no shampoo and conditioner provided - it would be nice to have some of the touches you would get in hotels where you pay a similar price. We also ran out of shower gel (they didn’t provide full bottles) and this was not refilled when our room was cleaned - it was refilled after asking, however the receptionist seemed a bit confused about us asking for this. (She was v friendly and welcoming however, and did fill the shower gel up). We did have the receptionist come and check on our room 5-10 minutes before check-out - which made us feel a bit hurried whilst we were doing our last checks of packing. All in all, would recommend and return.

We stayed for two nights three days and the Wi-Fi didn't work at all.....but it was close to the train station, it was convenient to access to different places. When we went back to the hotel at night around 8 pm, grocery stories were closed so we had no choice but drank one of the water bottle in the fridge and we were told that it cost 2 €.
