Clean studio room with kitchen, stove, microwave and fridge, very convenient location, walking distance to train station, fresh produce market, restaurant, grocery store, tram and buses. Staff were very nice to find a room and let us checked in early. But the room AC was broken, then next day we were switched to another room with working AC. Overall very good experience staying at this hotel.

The room was in decent condition, but the walls were a little scuffed and it just felt a little dated. Bedding was okay, not the most comfortable, but I would say matched the price we paid. It was convenient having laundry machines available, as well as the small kitchen in the room. The area itself was a little rough around the edges, but was easy to get around and into the city. The thing that really stops this from being higher than average was that there was a really bad smell coming from the shower drain and if we left the washroom door open, the whole room would smell. We asked the staff if there was something they could do, and they came up to put something down the drain, but it only helped for a few hours. We ended up using a plastic bag and an extra towel to block the drain whenever we weren't using it, and that helped a bit.

The staff were great - spoke English as well as French. The room was as advertised. Did not buy breakfast. Great location. Close to all transportation, the river, many monuments at the gate st Jean. The hotel lent out umbrellas which was great. Thank you for a pleasant stay.
