Wonderful hotel

This hotel is perfectly located near shops, restaurants and the coastline. The team were incredibly attentive and professional. The room felt a bit dated (particularly the bathroom) but otherwise there was nothing to complain about! I would love to return the next time I visit Biarritz.

The Grand Tonic is an excellent hotel in an excellent location. You can walk to a beautiful swimmable beach in 3 minutes! All the staff are excellent and very polite. The breakfast is very nice as well.

Unfortunately when using expedia filters it stated the property had a fitness centre, on arrival it did not. When booking, hotel guests had use of the spa included in their booking only to find a week or so before arrival this had changed and guests would be charged per person. The toilet is separate to the bathroom, unless ure small or thin youve no chance of getting in the toilet and manouvering to close the door behind you. Fantastic location, lovely helpful staff but due to the above only an average rating.

Arrived early morning as expected . Room not ready will phone when ok no call told cases in room they weren’t Breakfast was poor flies all around food landing on it very limited selection not 4* Had to prebook if you want to use the pool/spa and you have a 1 hour slot ! Paint on wardrobe doors peeling off no anti slip bath mat in bath tub
