Upon first arrival, everything was noticeably just cleaned, and Vacasa branding was posted in all main areas. The fireplace, which was a primary consideration for selecting this property, had a sign posted saying 'Do not use'.
We had plans to make a big NYE dinner for our family of 4 and cozy up by the fireplace to watch the ball drop. This took a detour when we discovered the lack of kitchen items...not a well stocked kitchen. For starters, no strainer, no mixing bowls, no containers, no wine glasses, plastic cups that have clearly seen better days--some with a gross residue like peanut butter or something.
The internet was completely out for several hours and then intermittent at best for the rest of our stay.
The master bathroom had a used roll of toilet paper sitting on top of the toilet, the TP holder having fallen off the wall and stored in the cabinet above the toilet.
After the first day, the clean smell faded to what smelled like a cover up of pet smells.
We contacted Vacasa after our first night to receive promise that the fireplace use was allowable (no key to turn on the gas) and they would be out to address this and the internet issues. No one ever followed through, I called multiple times, texted with whomever--AI bot or what--and eventually said we are leaving a day early. No follow up from Vacasa, no resolve. With the steep service fees added to the initial total, this rental came out to an average of $250/night. NOT worth this kind of money.
