Wonderful experience in Bedford!

We had a group of 4 on a golf trip and the house was perfect for what we were looking for! The house was clean and had all the amenities you could need. Nice notes everywhere and a welcome note to boot!

Location! Location! Location!!

My family met here to celebrate my Dad’s bday (93) . We were thrilled to find a VRBO on his former street!! The view is magnificent and the home so comfortable and convenient to everything the charming town of Bedford offers. The outside area with firepit was especially nice for visiting with each other!! Highly recommend

Quiet Escape

We enjoyed our night at the home so very much. It is nestled in a peaceful neighborhood where we could walk and relax on the deck. What a fantastic retreat - beautifully appointed and comfortable. Jane is thoughtful and welcoming. We will return :)

Cozy and charming house

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at this cozy, beautifully decorated home situated in a quiet neighborhood - only 30 mins from LU. Every room has carefully selected details waiting to be discovered. We’ll stay here again. Wish we had more time to enjoy our visit of this historic town of Bedford.

Clean Quiet and Spacious

The house was spotless and tastefully furnished. Communication with the host was clear, and check in was easy. The property is in a beautiful neighborhood, my girls enjoyed the deer running through the yard in the evening. The outdoor seating areas, covered patio and open deck, are beautiful and relaxing. The neighborhood is quiet, we slept peacefully. Even though the owners were on site in a separate level apartment , we never heard them once, definitely felt like we had the house and property to ourselves.

Short stay for family party

House is convenient to extended family. We were in town for a party. We didn’t spend a ton of time there but the house was spotless and beds were very comfortable. Jane left a lovely welcome note and there were clear instructions throughout the house. We will keep it in mind for the next time we are in Bedford.

Highly recommended!

This property is very comfortable and made us feel right at home. The Host communicates very well and responds to messages promptly. The beds were comfy and the living room furniture was perfect to sit and relax. There is a good ammount of puzzles and games avalible, as well as a large smart TV. The covered porch caught the best breezes and was quite a delight to sit on the deck in the mornings and liten to the birds. We saw deer, bunnies, and sooooo many birds. Will definitely seek out this hime again if we revisit the area.

Bedford Bliss!

Overall this stay was one of our top 3 with VRBO in the last 10 years! As soon as we walked in the door, we immediately felt at home. Jane’s place was clean, spacious, and bright! The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to prepare a full Easter dinner for our family, and there are many things you don’t normally find as well (snacks, drinks, coffees…etc). Jane was VERY accommodating and helpful to my wife and I throughout the process of booking, our perfect family getaway! The house was plenty big enough and having 2 bathrooms was huge for a family with 3 girls. J The beds were great and everything smelled so fresh! There were even chocolates on each bed and the dining room table! There are plenty of personal touches around the house, but we especially loved the original artwork in every room! The neighborhood was quiet and off the beaten path, but only min’s away from highways to take you wherever you want to go! Example, it’s just about 30 min’s to Liberty U., where our son is a Jr., and as long as Jane has availability, we’ll definitely be back!

Relaxing getaway

My wife and I stayed here during Valentine's week while visiting our daughter at Liberty University. We enjoyed sitting on the back porch around the gas fire pit. The home was spotless exceeding our cleanliness expectations and decorated with original art created by the owner. We hiked one of their recommended trails and the view at the top was spectacular. The owner was very engaging and took great care of us. We recommend this home if you are looking to stay in the area as Bedford is an adorable community close to the mountains, Lynchburg, Roanoke and the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Sisters’ Weekend

This property was completely lovely, even better than advertised, and exactly what my sister and I were looking for as a home base for our annual sisters’ trip. The kitchen was well stocked, the beds were super-comfy and everything was immaculately clean and tidy. Lots of colorful art on the walls and a top-notch bookshelf. Jane was so helpful and kind, and put together a list of recommendations for our trip. I recommend Birdsong Corner in the highest terms and would love to visit again!

Wonderful Place, Wonderful Location, Wonderful Communication w/Jane

We had a wonderful :) stay at Jane's place. The house was exactly like the pictures. We loved the location. It was very close to downtown, which was so cute. Jane had recommendations in a notebook in the house of places to visit and/or try. One of her lunch recommendations was Town Kitchen. It was so cute and the food was delicious. We will definitely recommend Jane's place in the future.

Lovely place to stay!

We enjoyed such gracious and beautiful hospitality while staying at this property! The owner is attentive to every detail to give guests a restful and enjoyable stay--from the tasteful and artful decorations and quality bedding and linens, to the multiple coffee and tea selections with cookies and mugs already set out for us and even a picnic basket outfitted for our use! We stayed during Liberty University's Family Weekend. We didn't book our trip as early as we would have liked and found many Lynchburg-area hotels sold out, but we're glad that lack of accommodations in Lynchburg pushed our search further out and that we found this property--an easy 25-30 minute drive to LU. In Bedford, we were also close to Sharp Top Mountain and enjoyed hiking to the summit.

Exactly what we needed for our family trip

The home was clean and spacious, and the kitchen was well stocked for making food for a potluck! Bedford isn't a large town, but we were located exactly where we needed to be to close to family and amenities. Thank you!

Wonderful home perfect for Families and Couples

Cozy home with nice patio and deck including a small firepit, clean and organized living space with full kitchen, dining area, nice TV, fireplace, and seating perfect for board games. Plenty of blankets, pillows, and fans for your needs. It was a wonderful stay and the host really cares for our experience, providing clear instructions, some supplies (paper towels, soap etc), and was very attentive to anything we needed with great communication. I know where I'm going next time I'm in Bedford, VA!

Wonderful home and location

Loved the location. Very close to the downtown area and attractions. Plenty of places to walk. Great location for our road cycling, too. House was perfect-bed was comfy, kitchen had everything we needed to cook, very clean. Loved the deck and carport for enjoying the outdoors. Host made us feel welcome. We will return!
