Eagles flock to Lake Coeur dAlene every December to feed on the spawning Kokanee (a land locked salmon). The snow was coming down heavy, making for difficult photography, but I was fortunate when one caught his fish, then proceeded to eat his sushi lunch in a tree not far away.

"Our stay was absolutely lovely. The cabin was clean and quaint and homey. It has a rustic feel, which I love. There were comfy couches with throw pillows and blankets to curl up on. The bed was comfortable and I loved the sheets!!! Given it was February when we stayed, we did walk across the road and down to the beach but didn't spend any time on the water. The hot tub was delightful. We enjoyed it both evenings we were there. Brian is an exceptional host and hope that staying in CDA fits into our plans in the future."

"Clean cabin and comfortable. Spacious. Plenty of parking. Views were amazing. Nice dock area and beach. Great place for a family. Close to town. We did have to fill up the hot tub with water.We would definitely stay again."
