We came for the view, and it delivered. The house was just rustic enough to feel like you are roughing it, but with all the amenities needed to be comfortable. Peaceful and quiet on the side of the mountain with all of the stars above. We loved the Vallecito Creek hike which was just a few miles away.

Secluded mountain cabin, magnificent views, easy access to hiking, fishing, and great restaurants. We saw deer on the property, hot tub was a bonus! We plan to return!

So Peaceful!!

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights while on a 17 day roadtrip through CO. We absolutely loved it. It's so peaceful and comfortable. The beds were the best on our whole trip. We saw deer in the front yard. The views were spectacular, especially from the hot tub. We also enjoyed the local restaurants and stores. We would 100% stay here again!!

Amazing Cabin!

Brian's cabin is perfect for a relaxing getaway in the mountains. The deck is perfect for sipping coffee on a chilly morning and enjoying the spectacular views overlooking Vallecito Lake. The hot tub was clean and was a great place for stargazing into the night. The cabin was well stocked, clean, and was everything we needed. We will definitely be coming back here and it is 100% worth the 6.5 hr drive from Denver!

Quiet and secluded

A nice small house in the woods. Quiet and secluded which is what my husband and i were looking for. The drive to Durango was about 40 minutes. Our dog loved going into all the shops with us on Main St. This was our 3rd trip to Colorado and we love it every time.

The views were amazing. Wildlife was spectacular, even driving up the driveway, wildlife can be seen. Very spacious and even though no AC. You wouldn’t realize it with the windows. Everything was perfect!

AMAZING

No way pictures can reveal the breathtaking beauty of God's creations! The cabin was spacious, completely furnished with a welcoming atmosphere. I enjoyed the back deck with the stunning view during the day and star gazing at night. Location of the cabin is private quiet and very peaceful. Our contact host was very kind and gracious with a personable demeanor. The perfect vacation!

The Bayfield cabin is all about relaxing. The views are so nice that you can sit for hours on the patio in amazement. No need to cook, there's a local restaurant with great food within 10 minutes of the cabin. The location is very private, felt like we owned the mountain range for the weekend. Technology was great, WIFI a plus, also connected to the hot tub and played some of my favorite hits. The cabin has two TV's, but the views are so great no need for Netflix. If you want to escape, really tune the world out, enjoy yourself, family, and what really matters, try the Bayfield cabin!

A little slice of heaven!

Outstanding! What a memorable and relaxing stay — just the getaway we needed. (I did have to do quite a bit of work while there, so I’m grateful for the strong internet connection.) The views took our breath away…day and night. We could see for miles while the sun was up, and and an unobstructed view of the Milky Way and shooting stars from the deck at night. Incredible! Brian is the perfect host, and he went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. We will be back. Highly recommended!

Five Stars Is Not Enough

If you are looking for a secluded cabin with all the amenities you can ask for, this is the place. I don't think I can convey the breathtakingviews you get from this cabin. We arrived after dark and slept in the loft. When we woke up that next morning, we had the privilege of opening our eyes to the best views Colorado has to offer. The hot tub is top notch and private. We were even able to see the Milky Way one night. The cabin is a little off the beaten path but it was completely worth it. We thought the bed was super comfortable and the cabin is well stocked. A lot of thought went into this place. Do yourself a favor and don't pass this cabin by. We will definitely be back! Thank you so much for the incredible experience.
