You have to either park down the road in a parking garage or use their valet service. The restaurant and casino is at their sister property, in which we shuttled to. The staff we encountered were very nice. We also used the valet. And don't be sucked in to buying the delicious looking cupcakes. Paid $7 for 1 and threw it in the garbage. I do want to WARN everyone, DO NOT forget anything in your room upon checking out. I left a very nice, fairly expensive camisole sweater in our room. I called that very night and the next day and if course housekeeping knows nothing about it. So, I let them know its obvious whoever cleaned my room stole it. The following day, i called to speak to manager, of course they were in a meeting. So I told the secretary my purpose for calling and let them know my camisole was stolen. As well as the fact they should know exactly who cleaned my room and therefore stole my sweater. Waiting for a call back from manager. Bet I'll have to call them and there still won't be any resolution. And we spent nearly $300 at their property plus tipped valet very well.

We upgraded to a beautiful suite on the 9th floor overlooking the Mississippi River and Baton Rouge. We walked to LeeAnn Morgan show at the Canes River Center. So easy and convenient Lots of outside construction going on but did not interfere. Definitely recommend

Ballys in Baton Rouge is a newer/remodeled hotel. There is still some construction going on, which I didn’t mind, I was nosey and asked what things were being done and the staff happily told me. This property does not have a pool, just fyi. It’s literally 2 blocks from the Raising Canes River Center, which is why I booked here. I had tickets to see Katt Williams, so I drove all the way from Texas to see him. The staff was great! Immediately upon pulling up to the property, the valet drivers and other staff assisting new guests were friendly and helpful. Check in was a breeze and the front desk staff was professionally humorous and made me and my friends feel welcomed. There is currently a small bar and they have a food/coffee area just off the entrance that has pretty good light snacks and meals (salads, sandwiches, desserts), which was nice because we were on limited time and got to grab some food. PEANUT BUTTER COOKIES ARE AMAZING!!! :) The rooms are nice and my friends loved the pillows and said the beds were comfy. I have neck and back problems, so I’m never comfortable but I trust my friends when they raved about the comfort qualities. If there is one thing I could offer as a suggestion to the hotel, it would be this: You need at least ONE MORE mirror in the rooms! Having just the one in the bathroom ain’t cutting it! Lol Mirror mirror on the wall….oh wait, there isn’t one. :( Lol Otherwise, Ballys was great, and I’d definitely recommend it!

My initial room had bugs in it so I had to be moved into another room. Air conditioning was not very cold in second room. The next morning, I went to get ice and came back to my room and the safety latch had engaged and I was locked out of my room for about an hour. Parking was not safe for a woman traveling solo so I had to valet. Overall experience was well below expectations.

There was no casino. I booked it here because I had the impression there would be a casino. I could have booked the Hampton inn down the street and had a free breakfast included.

There are 5 things on my list required for a great stay 1)location to what I'm in town for 2) a great mattress 3) a hot shower 4) a Smart TV and 5) personable but professional staff. Bally's scored excellent on 3 of the 5 (location to LSU Tiger Stadium and the river, a great mattress, and personable staff, except for 1 young black girl at checkin...no smile, no welcome, and few words) However, the shower never got hot, only lukewarm at best in spite of running for 20 min on 4 occasions (Room 227; the sink water was hot!)) i called front desk and was told how to turn the faucet on!! Also, the TV in the bedroom area would default randomly, 2-3 x/hr when changing the channel to a solid blue screen with arrow in the middle; nothing on remote corrected it; but would correct with no logical explanation. The TV in the sitting area worked fine. Of note, the hotel became impossible to access by the normal routes for about 2 1/2 hrs after the LSU game ended that night due to massive traffic as usual and blocked streets. Might have been helpful for signage in hotel lobby, TV, or at desk to alert guests of alternate routes (St phillip St became 1 way in the opposite direction from usual...we could have come from another way. Extra kudos to the valet staff Marquez (sp?) and the black woman with shoulder length hair....both were MOST helpful and courteous.

We booked this property bc we were going to the LSU game. When I booked I did not know hotel property wasn’t completed. So there is no casino, restaurant, etc. Staff is doing the best they can in the conditions so it’s not the staff. Then, when it was time to come home from the game, all roads to hotel were blocked off by police. (Which isn’t the hotel’s fault). We had to wait 45 minutes in order to get back to hotel. Thus, if you’re going to LSU game, this is NOT your hotel. I wish them well. It seems like will be really nice once the complex is done
