This property was super central to everything. It was right in the heart of the Gothic quarter and you could reach the main street within a three minute walk. It was super accessible to taxis and other modes of transportation to get around. The facilities were really nice and the breakfast was enjoyable. The staff was very friendly and the room was super clean and neat. we had a really good time overall and recommend this hotel to anybody visiting Barcelona.

Staff was excellent. Had to change rooms after 2 days due to extremely annoying noises coming from the surrounding rooms, especially running water, toilets flushing, etc. Second room was somewhat better. Breakfast buffet was pretty good.

Hostel Fernando was a great place to stay in the Gothic Quarter. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet is amazing. The rooms are cleaned each day with fresh towel. The location to shops, restaurants and attractions is very convenient. One downside is the amount of noise when you are trying to sleep. It seemed like there was a lot of noise from garbage being dumped, people shouting, and trucks. It wasn’t horrible, but it was definitely noticeable. Also, we had to take a very early cab ride to the airport and noticed quite a few men loitering in the streets in the area, so you might not want to be out on the streets too late or too early in this area.

Great Service & location!!!

Check-in was a breeze & even though we arrived early. They had storage lockers for our luggage so we can enjoy the sites of Las Ramblas (walking distance) while we waited. Hotel was very clean & rooms as well. Cleaning ladies were very respectful & desk reception were accommodating.

Easy to walk from Aerobus stop down La Rambla to get to hostal or €7.50 in a taxi. Stayed in room 101 superior double. Great size, spotlessly clean, never heard a sound outside or inside. November so had windows closed. Little bottle wine and glasses waiting in room. Beds made up every day. Staff were all so pleasant and friendly. Breakfast had good choice.. juice, cereals, yoghurt, fresh fruit, salad items and boiled eggs, cold meats and cheeses, cakes and bread/toast. All lovely and plenty of it. So easy to walk around with lots of bars and restaurants (especially the square 100m away towards La Rambla). No view from room, but only using it for sleeping so not a problem. Excellent value and would recommend highly if wanting central Barcelona at a reasonable rate.
