Everything you may need as a family. Not overly luxurious, so if that’s what you are looking for, this might not be it. Very obscure entrance but super centrally located. Forgot something? El Corte Ingles is right in front. Need a snack? Supermercat right next door. Would for sure stay again.

I have 2 bookings made through Hotels.com for a total of 4 nights (1 -5 May 2025) at Catalonia Square. However, upon arrival I was told that there was a pipe leakage, and I was walked to another hotel under the chain 2 blocks away. I later found out that the Catalonia Passeig de Gràcia Hotel, where I was walked to had lower rates for all 4 nights of my stay, which comes to a total difference of nearly EUR249. Hotels.com tried to deflect my request of getting a refund of the difference by saying that cancellation is not refundable. I had to repeatedly tell the different agents at Hotels.com multiple times that I am not seeking to cancel my bookings as I have already checked-in and not going to inconvenience myself to move again. Long and short, I am only offered a total of EUR 21 for the difference, which is very far from the actual difference. If anyone choose to stay at any property in Hotel Catalonia chain near Placa Catalunya, always select the lower price, as you might end up walked from higher priced ones to a lower priced one.

Great location and clean hotel

Central location made walking all over the city convenient, but also meant huge tourist crowds right up the street! Breakfast was mediocre, but hotel was clean and staff was friendly.

A great hotel in a great location

An excellent hotel with an excellent location. Very well managed and looked after. The only disappointment was the smell of "smoking" in the hall, however management did say they would look in to this. It did not spoil out stay at all as could not smell anything in our room. We would definitely stay there again when we return to Barcelona.
