Great place to stay if you are looking to party in Bangkok for a few days. It's lovely during the day, and an absolute circus at night. Party doesn't stop till 5:00 a.m. If you're looking for a secluded place in Thailand, this is not the spot for you.

Because of the location, the street of the hotel is party town at night, different kinds of loud music with humongous speakers coming from all the different restaurants around the area. My friends were unable to sleep well at night. But lots of shops and restaurant at your doorsteps.

Dang Derm is right in the middle of Khaosan Road so if you want to be slap bang in the thick of the thumping nightlife then it’s ideal. The blaring music is audible from your hotel room and goes on until 4am so be prepared for that. But if chaotic, fascinating, loud and relentless is your thing then it’s the place to stay. There’s a pool on the roof if you want to take a break from it all and cool off from the sun and humidity. The room was comfortable and the staff friendly, helpful and spoke good English

The staff is very accommodating and very polite and nice. I would recommend this hotel. I stayed here for three days. What a beautiful rooftop pool very clean and they took care of me like a gentleman.

We had the premier suite which was in front of Khao San road, it was very loud, very little shielding from the sound but we had a corner unit with a wrap around porch and the people watching without being in the mess was priceless. Hotel is exactly in the middle of the action, never a dull moment.

Great location. In the middle of it all.

Checkin staff were good but on checkout they neglected to return the cash deposit and apon realising I needed to return and get it back. The place was dirty, as in not ever cleaned properly dirty. Ok the place is old as the name says, Dang Derm translates to Old Place, and it’s in need of a refurbishment but grime on the floor from not being mopped is unacceptable. Then there’s the water in the shower, hot then cold, hot, cold, extremely hot then cold. Not recommended.

Whilst knowing the hotel was on Khaosan road and it was going to be busier/louder we were not aware from other reviews that the hotel was on top of 3 drum and bass clubs open until 4am each night. The window slides do nothing to quieten the noise and we were at the back of the hotel where it was quieter and even then you could still feel the floor shaking from the music. The swim up pool bar advertised is closed permanently and the jacuzzi is just an extension of the pool with jets. The entire hotel is very run down and out of date, I wouldn’t recommend unless you’re planning on being out all night and not sleeping
