No upgrade. Sink is broken, take long time to fix. Swimming pool is in maintenance. Renovation is noisy. No compensation for all above issues. Worst hotel among 3 hotels I lived in Bangkok. Room is small and view is bad. Will never go this hotel in future.

Sadly all the outside areas (the swimming pool and rooftop terrace/bar) were closed for our stay no doubt due to earthquake damage. Our bathroom also let in rainwater (again no doubt due to the earthquake). The Ascott offered the pool at the Urbana next door by way of compensation but that hotel is very tired and a little run down. The staff at the Ascott were tremendous, very professional and super helpful. They even allow you to call for pick up from Silom Complex if you’re an ASR member — perfect during the storms and torrential downpours we experienced during our stay.

We stayed at the Ascott for just under a week. What an absolutely unforgettable experience! Wonderful staff, polite, friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. As an example, we didn't realise that we needed to prebook the free shuttle to Icon Siam shopping centre so there was no space on the shuttle when we got downstairs. The staff apologised and then arranged a taxi for us, free of charge! When we had to leave very early in the morning for an excursion, the staff provided beautifully packed breakfast bags for us to eat on the way. Our apartment was big, with a fully equipped kitchen and washing machine. Always clean. The hotel is close to Silom centre, lots of places to eat (street food galore!), and a couple of train stations, so very convenient. Thank you to the staff for making our first visit to Thailand so wonderful!

The room was spotless, well-appointed, and very comfortable—perfect for relaxing after a long day. The amenities were top-notch, and the location was ideal, making it easy to explore the city. Great hotel in a fairly central location, close to BTS with a handy shuttle service. The hotel was very clean and all staff were very helpful. The rooms we had were great with the best showers. Bangkok has a huge choice of hotels but we would highly recommend this one and we would stay again.
