I am not from the area and drove into the property in the evening, it was dark and not much lighting for guests or drivers. I called guest services to help me with directions and where to park and what building to look for - she was rude (jennifer) and very unprofessional - she also hung up on me mid conversation. when i arrived to check in, she told me she would return because she was leaving to look for someone who was lost but it was me, then proceeds to tell me i was rude instead of greeting me or welcoming me to gordon lodge. check in and check out was not a good experience and she was very unprofessional.
the room was cold, extra blankets did not keep me warm and i was not able to adjust the heat since it was maxed out but stayed cold through out the night.
I also drove around for 20 mins looking for my room in the dark because there’s not a lot of lighting for guests at night and my friends helped me find it.
the breakfast crew was amazing and the food was wonderful - that was my favorite part of the stay and the views are great! I took a little walk after before checking out and it was a peaceful experience by the water.
