Best Hotel for Family

One of the best hotels we have stayed so far. Friendly and excellent staff, and very warm and friendly. The kids loved it. The breakfast was perfect with the custom Tacos. It was very safe and secure.

Friendly staff intil they got tired of the girl in the wheelchait. Super jelpful initially. Then not so much I firmly believe jousekeepers should leave the room as they found it, minus the trash. Etc. Disabled people put things where they can reach them. It would serve your housekeepers to be cognizent of people with disabilities. And not look down at us like were dirt. ( which happene a few times.) I think all employees need s class on dealing with people that are different, especially in a city like Austin.

Really like the room and facilities. Breakfast was great and the happy hour with free wine and nachos. Right near the nice end of 6th street as well. Couple problems: 1. We had the DO NOT DISTURB sign on the door. It was an hour before check out time. Me and my wife are getting dressed and ready to check out. There's a knock on the door. I get up from the bed to go answer it, I took 2 steps and the housekeeper opens the door and walks in our room. INSANE! My wife was not completely dressed. She screamed, I told the staff member to get out right now and she left. I called the manager and told her what happened. No idea if anything was done about it besides telling me she would speak with the house keeping manager. This might keep us from staying at another Hilton property. We weren't even offered any compensations for the intrusion and my wife complete embarrassment. Made my wife feel very unsafe there and we both wondered if they had been coming in our room all weekend going through our stuff. 2. Hotel is located on an old beat up road (5th st) between a school and a train track in what looks like a mostly industrial area until you get to 6th street. The day we got there I got a screw in my tire on 5th street and had to go discount tire and get a whole new tire because the way the screw went in it wasn't repairable. 3. Says on listing PARKING AVAILABLE. Does not state that you either have to park on the street, Or pay $35 a night to park in their secured parking garage.

The property is very well maintained and the staff was very nice and friendly. However, when booking the hotel on the website, it was stated that « Parking was available ». When it was time to check-in, we were informed that « Parking WAS available » @ $35/night. This was very misleading, as U could have easily booked a similar hotel not too far from this one with « FREE Parking »… Very disappointing on this point.

Great Location!

Our stay was pretty good for the most part. There were some weird quirks with the rooms. One had water collecting on the floor , but we couldn’t figure out where it was coming from. The other had some stains on the bathroom counter, but nothing too terrible. The daily breakfast buffet was good and convenient! The outdoor pool area was very pretty and had a fire pit as well! The front desk staff were amazingly accommodating and Kristen was a delight! Daily garage parking is $30/night. I loved that they had water bottle fill stations, saved me from having to buy bottles of water! The location is AMAZING!! All in all, a good weekend with the family thanks to Home2Suites!
