Staff was friendly, professional. Accomodations dated and dark, but clean and in good repair. At dinner time the attached restaurant has a long waiting line outside and was not accessible from inside. With no room service, it was neccessary to walk or drive to other nearby restaurants or grocery store for dinner. The inn is good for the price, fine for business trip or short stay.

The room was overly warm. I had to open the balcony door to cool it down multiple times during the night as it wasn’t safe to leave it open in the area. Tried the A/C window unit but only opening the door worked.

Liked the attached restaurant/bakery! Excellent option. Breakfast was also great: many options available. Staff was very friendly/welcoming, parking was excellent, overall enjoyed our stay.

Dear Ms. Faracchio, I was disappointed to see that you had an unhappy check-in experience. We aim to make everybody’s visit to our hotel a happy and healthy encounter. During the Covid 19 Pandemic we have tried to implement practices that protect our guests and our associates from catching the virus. The State of Maine has also issued legal guidelines that are intended to slow down or stop the spread of the virus in the state. The “Keep Maine Healthy” lodging guidelines include standards that all guests must meet in order to rent a hotel room in Maine. These guidelines, including quarantine standards, and testing standards, are the law. The hotel has to enforce these standards or risk paying steep fines and having our license suspended. Links to the state’s guidelines for potential travelers to Maine are posted on all of the 3rd Party reservation companies web pages including Travelocity. It is on the top of the page at each step of the reservation process, and then we send our guests a modified copy of those guidelines with their reservation confirmation. At the time you made your reservation, travelers to Maine were restricted to Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont, unless they had quarantined in the state for 10 days, or had received a negative Covid 19 test within the last 72 hours. At this time, Maine’s approach, which aims to protect Maine’s people and visitors to the greatest extent possible from COVID-19 risks associated with travel, are similar to the restrictions found throughout New England, New York and New Jersey. Unfortunately, you did not meet the state’s guidelines. In order to ensure the safety of our other guests and our hardworking staff, and retain our Lodging License, we could not let you check into our hotel. We apologize for the difficulty that you experienced and trust that you will understand that under any other circumstance, we would have preferred to accommodate you on the evening of December 14, 2020.
