2/10 Terrible

I have to say, this was by far the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had in my life. I was traveling from Connecticut to Atlanta for a business conference, arrived a day early, and needed to book something last minute. Red Roof seemed like an affordable option — but what I walked into was an absolute wreck.
The check-in process was simple enough, but the nightmare started the moment I entered the room. The smell hit me first: moldy, damp, and suffocating, like mildew that had been sitting for years. The ceilings were popcorn style and visibly moldy. The so-called “repairs” looked like they were done by someone’s uncle who watched a few YouTube tutorials — uneven, sloppy, and cheap.
When it was time to shower the next morning, I quickly realized why the room reeked. The shower was broken. Water leaked everywhere, pressure was horrendous, and it only made the mildew smell worse. The TV didn’t work either, with permanent lines running through the screen. For a business that could easily replace a moderately priced TV, this was just neglect.
I barely slept because the bed felt unclean, itchy, and uncomfortable. Honestly, I couldn’t shake the feeling that the sheets hadn’t been washed. Between the foul smell, broken shower, busted TV, and outdated everything, I was disgusted.
This was my first impression of Red Roof, and it will absolutely be my last. If I could give zero stars, I would. Corporate needs to step in immediately because this location is a disgrace. Travelers deser
