nice, reasonably priced place to stay

This is really a nice facility. New, clean, comfortable, and easily accessible to Nelsonville and also (with an 18 min. drive) from Athens. The rooms are a little dark (they could use some extra lamps), but that's honestly our only issue. The hotel is a great value and we'll stay there again.

It's okay

As a hotel it is ok. The bed was comfortable and the shower was hot, however, the pressure left much to be desired. The sink is outside the bathroom with only a small oval mirror, so bring a separate mirror for makeup. There was a table with the coffee maker on it but there were no chairs or a work space. There was an empty pop bottle underneath one of the beds, and all of the fixtures for towels and toilet paper were all lose and threatening to fall off.

NYE date night

The Lodge itself is so beautiful! You are greeted by a cozy fire place entryway, sitting area, and bar. The bar is only open on weekends. The room was very clean and the bed and pillows were SO comfortable!! Our room just happened to be right by the employee entry door. The door is heavy and loud and we heard it slam shut all night long and early morning. Other than that, it was a nice place to stay. It is less than 5 miles from downtown Nelsonville.

The location is remote which is good if you want a quiet nights sleep away from the traffic. Very clean room and comfortable bed. I would stay again if in the area

Cute and comfortable

The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful. If it were summer, we’d definitely want to spend time enjoying the outside. The room had lots of character and reflected the area. There wasn’t much privacy for the bathroom because of a large gap around the door and a strobe light feature on the lamp but was a really comfortable room otherwise.

Athens, Ohio Football Trip

Stayed at the lodge Thanksgiving evening, to attend the Ohio University and Ball State football game the next day. The location was easy to find, and I believe we were the only guests that night as it was very quiet. The roll out bed from the couch was rough, but was expected. The in room coffee maker didn’t work, due to a missing part but coffee was available the next morning as apart of the continental breakfast. My kids enjoyed the strawberry waffles and other quick breakfast items. Overall for the location, and the fact that it was Thanksgiving evening I enjoyed the stay and found the area and small town feel a nice change of pace from chain hotels and busy metropolitan areas I’ve stayed at in the past.

Do not book here, my car was broken into and things were stolen out of it. The hotel said it’s common for druggies/ homeless to steal around the vicinity and in the parking lots. When I first arrived I was given a room that wasn’t clean. On the second try I was give. A room that was clean.

The hotel was nice. However the bed was extremely soft/weak. Also breakfast was limited. On the second morning there were no plates, plasticware or syrup available for the waffles. Went to front desk but no one was around.
