The Fountain Hotel was a positive experience! Staff was friendly; "Evi" demonstrated such great customer service! We arrived 5hrs before check in and were told that they would prioritize our room to have it ready and clean early for us, which they did. By the time we returned two hours later, our room was ready, and all luggages were brought upstairs - a total of 6-7 heavy luggage items brought to the third floor using the small elevator. Thank you Evi!!! We were given lots of tips and suggestions on how to best enjoy the local area. The only con was it was a little loud at times during the night but it was to be expected due to such a central location amidst a road of bars and restaurants. Ear plugs were provided in our rooms. The continental breakfast was enjoyable and appreciated by the party I was with. There are a fair amount of local cafes and restaurants to grab treats and meals throughout the day. I recommend the spanakopita at Bougatsadiko Psirri! Thank you The Fountain Hotel and staff; we would stay here again.

All the staff are amazing, friendly and willing to help. Just ask they know the places where you want to go. The breakfast is very good. If you cannot make the breakfast due to early schedule they provide takeaway boxes.

Absolutely the best time at the fountain. The hostesses were absolutely amazing and sent us to wonderful places. People said it’s noisy but to my self and my husband it was just fine with the window closed even on the weekend. We stayed a total of 7 days at the fountain and everyday was an adventure.

We stayed at The Fountain Athens for 5nights at the beginning of April. We cannot fault anything! Communication prior to arrival was excellent and the hotel helped set us up with transfers on our arrival into Athens airport. The room itself was very quirky and modern and set over 2 levels and had everything we could possibly need, including complimentary bottled water each day. The whole hotel was very clean. The breakfasts were freshly made to order and something to look forward to every day. Every single member of staff at the front desk could not have been more friendly or helpful. Always happy to give advice and ideas. They helped set us up with transfers back to the airport and even let us keep on our room until our pick up time. The location of the hotel is excellent! So many bars and restaurants from right next door. In our room we heard no noise at all considering it was such a busy area. This is the only place we would stay if we return to Athens. Top rate service!

Excellent hotel, but two problems

The hotel is excellent, with a great location and a very, very kind and attentive staff. The rooms are clean and beautiful. However, there were two issues — the hot water ran out in the shower, which seems to be a recurring problem at the hotel, and the location is extremely noisy. Other than that, it's an excellent hotel.
