Great location but it was dirty

The whole house was dirty, particularly the upstairs and we found several cockroaches (both alive and dead). The door knobs fell off the doors and my daughter and I got stuck in a room. It had the potential to be a great stay, but it didn’t seem like the attention to cleanliness was there.

Perfect for a family wedding weekend!

We had three generations, 14 people in all - the house and yard were perfect! Plenty of beds/bathrooms, large kitchen, wonderful beds and linens, quiet, convenient neighborhood. We had a marvelous stay! Thank you!

Wonderful home and location

This home was a great place for my family including young children and my sisters family with teens to stay when we came to Athens visit with family. House was very large and comfortable. The living room was very large with ample seating to visit with family. Dinning room table was very large allowing 12 to have a meal. Kitchen was adequately stocked. I counted 11 TVs including the back porch. I would recommend staying here and would do the same when I come back to Athens. My only reason for not giving 5 stars is because in 2 of the 3 bathrooms all to towels were either rolled or folded damp. In the downstairs front bathroom all the towels had a linear yellow stain on them. I ended up having to wash all the towels our first evening there. The yellow stain came out of all the towels. Furthermore the bathrooms soap dispensers were empty or missing in all the bathrooms. I don’t think these issues reflect the quality of the home but rather the cleaning service utilized and hopefully can be corrected for future renters.

Wedding weekend in Athens

Perfect home to house our wedding party guests. The location was perfect for all the downtown venues. The attention to detail and the layout of bedrooms made the weekend fabulous. Lisa was very responsive and made our weekend that much more enjoyable. Definitely a repeat for our next trip to Athens.

Excellent house and location!

We were here for family wedding activities. It was perfect be close to the rehearsal dinner downtown and quick drive to High Shoals which was the wedding venue. This house would be amazing for game weekend activities. Or large gathering of family and friends. We didn’t have time to enjoy the large deck with a huge tv or the great fire pit area. But we did enjoy having plenty of room inside for all couples to have a king size bed, all with large screen TV’s. Our teenagers slept in the twins upstairs and the tv at the end of each twin was a complete hit. The property has recently been renovated and we knew at booking (months earlier) that we would be visiting at the end of construction phase. A few little things left on the punch list but nothing we couldn’t work around. We loved the appliances and gas stove. All top of the line. There would be some maneuvering difficulties if several visitors were up in age. My 90 yr old mother was with us and with help could climb the front steps to enter and she did have a large walk in shower. However, if there had been several people with maneuvering difficulties, this might not be the best place. The house is decorated perfectly for a modern VRBO. Overall our stay was 5 star and we certainly would recommend it!
