The view was nice as we could see the ocean from the living room. The kitchen was very well stocked. We loved the Le Creuset pots. What a nice addition since we love to cook! The only real disappointment was not being able to use the fireplace because of lack of fuel.

Stormy weather

King tides and big rain drops accompanied us for 4 days. It was the perfect getaway in a warm nicely appointed rental house. Reading was the best entertainment. Travel to restaurants in Manzanita and Cannon beach was easy and short.

Modern Love

Modern Love was a little slice of heaven! It was very clean and had everything we needed and wanted for our week long stay in Arch Cape. Perfect location only a short walk to what felt like a private beach. The kitchen was stocked with the necessities, the beds were comfortable, plenty of bath and beach towels, and the fuse ball table was a huge hit. The Grown Alchemist bath products were a bonus as well. David was a five star host, made all the difference. Overall a great stay.

We love this little house

If you like modern and cozy this place is for you. the location in Arch Cape is perfect for us because you can easily get to both Cannon Beach and Manzanitta in just a few minutes. The kitchen is very well outfitted for a rental. Our group has some pretty picky cooks and there were no complaints! The only glitch we had was that the heaters in the bedrooms were noisy. we solved the problem by leaving the bedroom doors open and letting the wall heater keep the spaces warm enough. Not a deal breaker. Also had probably the best weather we have ever experienced there in February. Not a single day without sun. Amazing. We will be getting this place again for sure!

Oregon Coast Delight

Modern Love was perfect or an Oregon Coast getaway -Arch Cape is a small purely residential community right on the beach and just 10 minutes south of Cannon Beach. The house layout was great for us (two couples). The beds and furniture were really comfortable. The kitchen was exceptionally well equipped -we cooked a lot! To top it off, the house was extremely clean. The house is a short block and a half from the beach (uncrowded - felt like a private beach). where we enjoyed glorious sunsets. We would definitely stay here again.

This was our first stay at this home and it couldn’t have been nicer. The decor was really well done with every convenience. The dishes were nicer than what I have at home! Thoughtfully appointed throughout and we loved the garage to game room conversion.

Beautiful

We loved our stay and were sad to leave. Beautiful property, very clean, kitchen was the best stocked I have ever seen. There are actually more games than mentioned in the listing. Some things I wish were made clear: The house is literally right next to Highway 101 and you can hear every car that goes by. It's a little hard to figure out how to get to the house because GPS takes you to the back yard and the front door is actually down an overgrown driveway on another street. It's also pretty tight to turn around even with just one car. The house is located within a tsunami evacuation zone, which is kind of par for the course in the Pacific Northwest, but also a little freaky if you aren't expecting it. Some things I didn't appreciate given how much we paid: The house is old with cheap wood cabinets and wall paneling. It smelled like "old house" and we needed to burn candles to get a nicer smell. The W/D are old (and aren't the ones pictured in the listing) and took forever to dry clothes. All the dishes and utensils were dirty, like things put through a dishwasher without being rinsed first. The furniture is pretty but not super comfortable and is also in a strange layout. The blinds in the larger bedroom let in all the light so it's hard to sleep in. The toaster burns EVERYTHING on all settings. The free WiFi is unsecured and there's no cell reception so you're stuck with no internet or an unsecured connection. Amazing location and house but needs some attention.

Very nice. Met our needs for a nice getaway. Very quiet . Although it has a glimpse of the ocean, we were disappointed that descriptions said 2 minutes to the beach, but we did not find any beach access. Overall, a very good place to stay.

November Getaway

Even with a fierce storm this was the perfect spot to spend time with dear friends and enjoy the storm watch. The house was beautiful and very well appointed. Comfortable with everything you might need for relaxing and cooking.

A Beautiful Beach Break

What’s not to love about Cape Arch? It was just what we needed it to be! Modern Love was loved by all! The darling house was well appointed and had everything we desired. It’s situated between Cannon and Manzanita which we found ideal. There wasn’t the touristy feel of either, yet it was so close to both we could venture in to enjoy the restaurants and stores of both. The beds were extremely comfortable which lead to a delightful night sleep and the garage turned game room was equipped with ping pong, foos ball and a plethora of items for beach use. We were very pleased with Modern Love and if we find ourselves in that area again we wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again.

Love Modern Love

A perfect location to spend a long weekend on the Oregon Coast. Very close to Manzanita, Cannon Beach and several state parks. The house is beautifully appointed with everything you could possibly need. The kitchen was well stocked with oil, spices and other basics. There were at least 3 ways to make coffee, including a French press, Keurig and drip coffee maker. The garage housed all the beach necessities including chairs, games and a wagon to carry everything to the beach. The fire place was a nice touch in the cool mornings. Communication and check-in was very easy. Highly recommend this gem of a home.

Wonderful family vacation stay

Our family had a wonderful time at Modern Love. It was exactly as listed - close walk to the beach, lovely home, well appointed kitchen, and close to restaurants in a nearby town! The communication with the property manager was good. The only challenge we had was the dryer didn't work, but otherwise it was a perfect stay. We would recommend this home to anyone looking for a quiet get away.

Fantastic Mid Century Mod @ Arch Cape

What a wonderfully designed and furnished vacation home in a perfect Oregon coastal community. We love vacationing in Arch Cape. This was one of our favorite places to spend our time in recent visits. The space is perfect for 2 or 3 people. The kitchen is perhaps the best equipped we have ever encountered. The bedrooms and bathrooms are excellent. And the living and dining areas are comfortable and furnished wonderfully with authorized (not replica) mid-century pieces. Outside, the deck and yard are great, the ocean is within view at all times, and beach access is one block away. Oh, if we could only be back there now away from the heat, cars, and crowds of where we live!
