"We liked the historical feel of the hotel combined with clean, really upscale new rooms in the addition. The pool was nice to have as an option to the beach at St. George. The bar and the Franklin cafe were excellent for dinner. It was also in the heart of Apalachicola. Definitely recommend!"

"The Coombs Inn is such a unique and stunning place to stay. Having been built in 1901, it’s been maintained superbly. It did take us a minute to get the hang of the virtual check-in. I booked through Expedia and were receiving notifications via email and completely missed the check-in instructions sent directly from the hotel via text message. We were late checking in (around 9:30 PM). There was a number to call posted on the front door and I felt bad calling so late but a nice lady answered and directed us on where we needed to go. After we were set up with virtual check- in, it was very easy getting in and out of the hotel and our room. They do have two separate houses that are the Coombs Inn. They are located one street over from one another. We did not realize this and initially went to the wrong house. If I had checked my text messages prior, this would not have happened. So, thank you to the nice lady who answered the phone at 9:30 PM and calmly helped us! This is such a lovely place to stay, you will not regret your stay here."
