Room was sub par for cleanliness. Floor was obviously not cleaned. Food and items from previous guests were still o the floor. Several walls had bodlily fluids on them. Parking was very minimal and lot had very large, deep potholes. Recreational pool and sauna were average. Clean enough to swim in. No lifeguard.

5 star hotel in with great hikes only minutes away. Nice bus service into town, you don't need to get back into your car. Hikes can be as long or short as you wish.

My husband and i stayed at multiple hotels in alaska during our stay. Property here is beautiful. Of all the places we stayed, this resort had the highest price point with the least hospitality. Any issues we had were not rectified appropriately. This resort could be 5 stars if their customer service was greatly improved. We will not be returning.

The resort is beautiful and the grounds are nice. Our room was clean and attractive, but there was no in-room coffeemaker at all. You had to go find the out-of-the-way coffee shop to find caffeine. I recommend anywhere BUT the in-resort restaurant Forte. The food was overpriced and definitely subpar.

Some rooms have been updated and are fairly nice. The rooms that have not been updated are worn and tired. Rooms can be noisy….especially the pipes when neighbors run the water. The stopper in our tub did not close so we couldn’t take a bath. Some windows don’t open properly. We did not have luggage racks so opened our suitcases on the floor. Parking is scarce so folks drive around and around looking for a space. Attention to detail is sorely lacking. At half the price, this would have been a decent value.

The property is amazing. The walk in coffee shop unfortunately guilts/shames you into to tipping a min of 20%, even if you just order a bottle of water. The big screen they turn around for you to pay that makes you select a tip or not is irritating as everyone behind you can see if you tip. If I order my food and I am standing, I am not tipping.. those staff get a non-tipped wage. Get rid of the tip shakedown …

The lot was full when checking in so had to walk from a remote lot. Check in was fine. The rooms are clean and comfortable but need a refresh. The tram was fun.
