Love the blackout shades! Early check in for a fee helped us get 4-5 hours of sleep after arriving to AMS from LAX at 9 am. Convenient to catch train into Amsterdam Centraal from Schipol. Will be back.

Unscheduled Amsterdam layover

An unscheduled layover in Amsterdam meant we were caught without luggage. Room was compact but clean, quiet and comfortable. Only downside was the music in the reception areas in the evening which made it hard to relax.

Always a pleasure to stay at a CitizenM property. The staff makes me feel like an old friend they haven’t seen in a while. And the beds are too comfy. I almost don’t want to leave.

The staff were very helpful, the rooms were set up in an unusual way, but as a solo traveller that wasn’t a bother, but if I was travelling with a friend, it could be awkward as all the facilities are in one room. There is a curtain that can help privacy. The bed though WOW!! It was the best sleep of my trip! Plus with all the lights/tv/blinds being operated with a central iPad - so easy to get comfy and relax!

This is a great place to stay if you’re leaving early or arriving late and don’t want to deal with transportation the day of a flight. It’s far from the sights but is convenient to AMS.

citizenM is consistently good

CitizenM is very consistent, decent room, Wifi, AC, shower pressure, but their breakfast is lacking a bit. Obviously everyone books this particular location because of the proximity to the airport so the hotel is as good as you need for it's location.

Great funky hotel! Fantastic lobby with incredible cocktails! So close to the airport, only a 5 minute walk. Also had great food options for dinner. The bed was very comfortable and it was very quiet! Highly recommend!!
