From check in to breakfast we have been made most welcome by the friendly attentive staff. We were upgraded on arrival to the Holy Island room which is one of the nicest rooms we have stayed in. Will definitely look to come back possibly in the summer to enjoy the garden/ patio area.

What a beautiful hotel , the decor is done to a very high standard. Such a great find !! It’s in a good location for walking distance to everything. Breakfast was to a high standard!!

Excellent location lovely old building been kept in great condition and maintained well. decorations throughout are to a very high standard nice to see. Staff were excellent and treated us very well. Room was lovely with all the expected accessories and a wonderful walk in shower. Tv that had all the latest apps included. Would love to give it a 5* but feel the dog friendly bit should be explained in a bit more detail ie only allowed in your room not in any other room resulting in us having to have breakfast on own own. Also great to see the existing sash windows been refurbished and working well but on a windy night like last night they rattled so much i ended up putting cardboard wedged in to stop them rattling, small sash window wedges would be handy to stop this . But loved the stay

Lovely decor with interesting, whimsical touches. Our room was large and comfortable, although we found it a bit airless unless the window was open. Breakfast was ok, although cooked items were disappointing. Staff were all very nice, and location is good.
