I would never stay at this property again, and because of the obvious low standards of Baymont, would never stay a any other Baymont property. I should have been suspicious based on the price, good deal I suppose, if you have very low expectations.

I led a school canoeing trip with 12 high school students, and we stayed here the night we landed in NY. We booked months before our stay and called before we booked to make sure they could accommodate us with our large group at the time we landed to shuttle us from the airport, and they assured us it was no problem. When we landed, we found our driver and realized he was using a small SUV, which seemed like his personal car, to get us to the hotel. We had to take several trips back and forth, meaning the students had to ride without a chaperone late at night with the driver. When we got to the hotel there were a bunch of people waiting in the lobby; our driver was also the receptionist, and they were waiting for him to get back. We finally got into our rooms at around midnight, and the hotel was honestly pretty unclean. My co-leader had bloodstains in his sheets. The walls were dirty and stained, and it smelled pretty strongly of smoke and marijuana. None of our A/C units worked right, and it was very warm. We also booked this place because breakfast was included, and we went downstairs the next morning to eat only to find that there was stale cereal and oatmeal packets, as well as like 6 bagels total in the breakfast area. There was literally only a quart of milk in the fridge for all of the guests. We were taking a bus directly to our trail, so not having a good breakfast was pretty unfortunate. If you want a peaceful, clean stay, do not book here.

Window sills, area around the toilet in the bathroom and ceiling were dirty. When I tried to take a shower, the way to turn the water and shower on fell off in my hand and I could not take a shower. They were very good about taking me to the airport at 3:15 a.m. That was the reason I booked there. I needed a way to get to the airport in the morning. When I checked in the clerk was quick but not personable. The one that took me to the airport in the morning was pleasant.

My stay has had to be my worst stay in the Capitol City region. Of course there is no mention about a juvenile detention center just feet away and an actual jail within a mile. The building had two swastika very visible at the front entrance. The welcoming committee was very drunk women with a Tower wrapped around here head chain smoking stall cigarettes .The smell of cannibus was the air as I entered. The shower head was terrible. There was no water pressure and it spit out the water like a sprinkler system. The scheduled breakfast was nowhere to be found. And there was no room service. Had to contact the front desk for replacement dingy towels. Never again!!!

Could be a super place. Price is appealing. Room size is great. Clean. Things fall apart with various hallway smells and aging bathrooms. Just a bit off the path if coming from exit 7, but nightly price might be worth it vs. Super 8 off the exit.
