An oasis, beautiful property and wonderful host

My partner and I stayed as Mas de Granet recently for a week. We were beyond satisfied with the cottage, filled with all of the amenities we needed. Gisèle, the host, was wonderful and we felt like we were at home when we’d come back after long day trips. We felt truly at peace when we’d get to the cottage. We were welcomed with open arms and we had no issues with communication with Gisèle as we don’t speak a large amount of French. The pool is fantastic. I give Mas de Granet my highest rating.

Lovely accommodation

My friend and I spent a lovely 8 nights at the Cezanne apartment. Gisele provided a very warm welcome for us and just enough in the fridge to get us by til our first shopping foray. There is even wine for a small fee in a cooler which we didn’t use. The downstairs sofa folds out into a comfortable bed and the upstairs loft room is very cozy ....with an armoir to unpack and windows for fresh air. Gisele was easy to get hold of when we couldn’t figure out the operation of the DW and the washing machine. Both were very easy to operate once we knew how. Clean towels are provided mid stay and the water pressure is great. The outside garden area is very private and pretty.....lots of birds and a couple of resident squirrels. We loved watching the moon rise over the hedge. The apartment is located on a beautiful property with a security gate. We chose not to rent a car and take taxis into town every day. The fare is 15-20 euros each way depending on traffic. The taxis service was always responsive and reliable. We would readily come back for another stay should the occasion arise! Aix is a wonderful place to visit...and Gisele was a perfect host!

Spacious apartment outside of Aix

This spacious apartment a few miles outside of Aix has a small kitchen, a sitting area and an upstairs bedroom. Upsides: spacious, quiet, well equipped. Downsides: it's all pretty new, a bit lacking in charm, the outdoor sitting area is somewhat confined, not very comfortable, and lacking in a view or garden. The apartment is fine -- nothing wrong with it -- but not as charming or beautiful as many other places we stayed on our Europe trip.

Merveilleux séjour à Aix en Provence

L’accueil de Gisèle est parfait, convivial, avec tous les renseignements et des idées de visites que nous avons exploitées. La maison Cezanne est très bien décorée confortable, cosy avec tout le confort désiré. Espace terrasse et jardin remarquable, calme, privé. Perfekter Urlaub in Aix-en-Provence

Wir verbrachten 2 sehr schöne Wochen bei Gisèle. Wir waren mit unserem Sohn (10 Jahre) in Aix-en-Provence. Die Wohnung ist charmant eingerichtet, gut ausgestattet und hat einen kleinen eigenen Garten. Das gesamte Anwesen ist sehr gepflegt. der Pool ist super, immer sauber und es sind genügend Liegestühle vorhanden. Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich, herzlich und hilfsbereit. Wir können dieses Haus uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen und werden auch gern wiederkommen. Familie R.

Romantisch en rustiek plekje om te verblijven !

Wij werden allerhartelijkst verwelkomt door Gisèle. Wij hebben een heerlijke week gehad in de romantische gite ! Zonnige privé-tuin en zelfs een zwembad waar wij als gasten gebruik van konden maken ! Eine wunderschöne Woche bei tollen Gastgebern in Aix-en-Provence

Bereits die Begrüßung in dem wunderschönen Domizil durch Gisele und ihre Familie war äußerst freundlich. Zum Geburtstag meiner besseren Hälfte überraschte Gisele uns mit einem selbst gebackenen Kuchen. Im wunderschönen Haus befand sich alles, was man für den Urlaub benötigt. Die Einrichtung überzeugt durch den provinzialischen Style. Alle Details sind überaus schön und durchdacht. Das Haus ist außerordentlich sauber und gepflegt. Seit kurzem gibt es (wird mit den Nachbarn und den Besitzern geteilt) auch einen Pool. Soweit in der zweiten Haushälfte auch ruhige Gäste wohnen (bei uns war dies so) ist es hier absolut ruhig und man erlebt erholsame Tage. Um in die Stadt oder zum Supermarkt zu gelangen benötigt man ein Auto, ist man gut zu Fuß unterwegs, gibt es nach 15 Minuten Fußweg aber auch eine Bushaltestelle. Unser Resümee! Einer unserer tollsten Feriendomizile. Wir kommen wieder. Merci Gisele et a bientot!

So muss man die Provence bewohnen!

In der Stadt und doch nicht. Die Lage der Wohnung auf einem großen Grundstück mit Parkmöglichkeit direkt vor der Wohnung war für uns perfekt. Der Blick aus dem kleinen Garten ging ins Grüne und wer den Trubel der äußerst reizenden Stadt Aix-en-Provence erleben will braucht nur acht Minuten mit dem Auto (Sehr gute Parkmöglichkeiten in Parkhäusern im Zentrum). Ebenso sind Städte wie Cordes, Avignon, Arles, die gesamte Camarque oder auch Cassis sehr gut erreichbar. Auch Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und ein gutes Restaurant sind nur 2min mit dem Auto entfernt. Wir haben den Aufenthalt bei Gisèle sehr genoßen. Das ist leben in einer blitzsauberen Wohnung im typischen provencialisch-reduzierten Stil, ohne in der Ausstattung auf irgendwas verzichten zu müssen. Beispiel: Zwei Kaffeemaschinen waren vorhanden, eine für Tabs und eine Filtermaschine. Ebenso hat uns sehr gefreut, dass Milch, gekühltes Wasser und Orangensaft, sowie Kaffee bereits da waren. Genauso wie Essig und Öl, Pfeffer und Salz usw. Sogar der vorhandene Weinschrank war bereits mit lokalen Weinen gefüllt (Entnahmen wurden am Ende abgerechnet). Die liebevolle und auch sehr geschmackvolle Einrichtung und Farbgebung rundete dieses positive Bild ab. Wir können diese Wohnung nur Empfehlen und geben gerne die gerechtfertigten fünf Sterne. Super maison dans le calme de la Provence

Nous avons passé 2 jours dans cette belle maison, qui est toute neuve. Duplex, super bien équipé, avec une belle terrasse et décoré avec goût. Gisèle nous a très bien accueilli et était très sympathique. La maison est à la campagne, mais proche d’Aix-en-Provence. C'étais très calme, donc idéal pour bien dormir et se reposer.
