Hotel Svartisen
It was unique inasmuchas there are no staff! Check in is at another hotel. You collect pass key & you are on your own in a little studio flat. Kitchenette, lounge, & bathroom downstairs & up a flight of stairs to the mezzanine bedroom.

Skillevollen Motell
Room turned out to be single and we were two. We had to cheat in order to room the two of us, and the bed and equipment wasn't enough for two. In addition a heat wave hit the area which the place was totally unprepared for. We were suuffering through the heat.

Very close to the ferry. Nice people. Good breakfast. We learned a lot about the Isle from the person who was keeper in this period.

The room is small but clean and functional with a tiny kitchen area. It’s in a good location. However, there are three major issues. First, the check in is very confusing. I didn’t get any instructions until I checked out the next day! It turned out that you have to get the key from a different hotel ...

This was an unexpected last minute pivot on our trip and we could not have been any happier with this pivot. The accommodation was stunningly beautiful. The owner and his son could not have been more helpful with getting us over by ferry and dinner recommendations.
