"Large rooms with lots of great amenities!"
Hotel staff was friendly and helpful.  Rooms were clean and very spacious.  Turn down service went the extra mile - not only were there mints on the bed, but fresh ice was brought in nightly, and the room was also tidied up.  Both room service and the hotel restaurant had good food with good service.  The view from our room was beautiful.  I would stay here again and recommend it highly to others traveling in Salt Lake City.

Concierge and valets were exceptional - just remember to bring cash to tip them when they help you. Valet parking was $18 per day plus tipping. Convenient to the train to take you all around downtown free.

"Always an Excellent Stay"
This is my favorite hotel to stay in when I am on Business in Salt Lake City. The hotel manager in the evenings goes above and beyond the call of duty, I am glad I have the chance to give him the credit he deserves. I have stayed in several hotels in Salt Lake City, but none can top the Homewood Suites in Salt Lake City Downtown!

"Not for everyone"
This is a pretty interesting hotel to stay at for a day or two but you might not want to book it for a lengthy stay before checking it out. It was refurbished in the mid-eighties and to tell you the truth, it's getting due for another refurbishing. And some stuff is missing: flat screen TV's, free Wi-Fi, in-room safes, bathrobes. On the other hand, the bed was great--big and lots of pillows, nice housekeeping, and fairly quiet. The room ventilation wasn't the best and the windows were painted shut. Overall, it's a great place to stay if the price is right, better than a dreary Motel 6, and the location is superb. Salt Lake has pretty aggressive parking enforcement but there are two-hour slots within a couple of blocks, which makes overnight parking easy so long as you move your car by 10 a.m.

"Building could use a remodel on the outside."
Some of the rooms are much nicer than others. My room had a flat panel television but my co-workers still had the old tube style. The exterior is in need of repair. Second floor entrance was not very nice. Stairs of parking garage out of service and looked like they were about to collapse. Staff was great, helpful and friendly. Room could have been cleaned a little better. Overall not to bad.

"Great Stay!"
I had a one night stay here with my daughter, and it was perfect.  Everything we wanted to see and do was within walking distance, I had rented a car but hardly drove it at all, but parking was convenient.  Valet parking or self parking options were both made available to me, and the parking garage is located underneath the hotel, with a hotel elevator servicing the garage area.  The room was quiet, comfortable and sparkly clean.  Staff was friendly, efficient and very helpful with any needs we had, as well as directions to nearby restaurants and attractions..  There is a full service restaurant on site as well, though we did not eat there... it did smell delicious! Overall this was a great stay at a great price.  We will book this hotel again the next time we visit Salt Lake City.

"Quiet, clean and perfect!"
I stayed here recently and was blown away by this hotel. I traveled with a group of women who were all staying at different hotels, and this hotel was definitely the best. I needed it to be clean, quiet, and relatively close to the convention center, and this definitely met those needs. It was so quiet, that in my room on the 5th floor (that had a window to the street), I couldn't hear anyone else. Ever. The only way I knew there were other guests in the hotel was when I saw them in the lobby or in the halls. The room was very clean and modern. The bed was comfy and helped me to sleep well. The lobby was great too! I arrived many hours before check-in, so I had to wait a little before I got my room (I was still able to check-in hours before regular check-in), but the lobby was spacious with plenty of room to sit for lots of people and it had the most amazing couches (I nearly fell asleep). The free shuttle was also an incredibly valuable amenity. I definitely saved money not having to pay for transportation to and from the airport and around the city. They were fast and courteous. They also always had free water in the shuttle and in the lobby which was a really nice feature since I was always walking when I was there. Overall, this was one of the BEST hotel experiences I have ever had! I will ONLY stay at this hotel in the future. There was nothing they wouldn't do to help me, and every person I encountered was friendly, helpful, and nice. I was definitely impressed with the staff and this hotel.
