Dont go, noisy, unclean, equipment not working

I plan a weekend here to enjoyed and relax. Room was dirty, unclean, limescale everywhere, mattress really bad, hard to sleep well. Wall so small that i can here my neighbours playing together and when done, all night the man snoring On top sauna was close due to issue, steam working but dirty, pool pretty cold. Only place that could be great is the thermal pool but surprised not including you have to pay. So 4* it’s a big joke, I did lot of 3* hotel cleaner and better

I have been coming here for a few years and was saddened to see how it has gone downhill. Probably due to staffing constraints and budgets. All the staff were marvellous and friendly. My room which was a double, looked very tired and just needed a bit of maintenance to ensure that heater worked and that the lock on the door to the balcony was half hanging off. To be fair, I enjoyed the peace and calm of this hotel and the golf course views from my room. I hope that I have given a constructive criticism as I would like to come back again. Well done to the staff.

Our room was tired looking, dark with damaged to furniture and walls. There was no hot water at all and when I told the woman on reception (around 7/8pm) she was quite unhelpful and said ‘this kind of thing happens in big hotels’ and ‘we don’t have any other rooms’ . Luckily another nicer member of staff checked our water issue and apologised and found us another room. So what the other staff member said was clearly untrue and more of an unwillingness to provide the basics. The other room was in fact an upgrade bug again the furniture was tired looking and the TV did not work. The bath, however was lovely and much needed after a very stressful evening. I would definitely not recommend this hotel.

The sauna wasn't working. When I spoke to a member they said it was regularly not working. Steam room was very nice. My room was comfortable and clean. Good to have a mirror close to the electric socket so could see to dry hair.

Great location for a family getaway to the Suffolk coast. Room was set up with extra child’s bed as requested when booking. Worked great for our family! Rooms very clean, quiet and comfortable. Could use a little tlc eg loo roll holder falling off but worked great for us. Service and checkin very smooth and couldn’t fault it!

I didn't like the fact that we were given a room for wheelchair users, when we don't use one, or are not disabled in any way. This meant that the bathroom sink was at the height of our knees, and the shaving mirror at belly button height. Not great for us.

The positives: Big room (Superior Double Room). Mugs availabile for tea and coffee in the room. Large bed - not on par with Premier Inn). Clean room. Good range of spa facilities - steam room, sauna, bubble pool, swimming pool. Good range of spa treatments. Quiet property. Plenty of parking available. Friendly staff. Good range and quality of food options in the dining room. The negatives: Musty smelling room - this cleared when we opened the patio doors but returned when we subsequently closed them. Clear and unsightly water stains on the ceiling and wall. The extractor fan in the bathroom failed to extract steam - the escape of steam from the bathroom was sufficient to cause the fire alarm in the room to be set off. Our room was not serviced. A wide range of food options available at breakfast but none of it was anuthing other than average quality.
