Room was large and comfortable and handy for walks on the beach. TV didnt work and long life milk was a week out of use by date, nothing changed after making staff aware of the problem, reception area smelt strongly of cigs.

Not much. Wouldn’t stay again! Dirty ring around inside of spa bath. The I had a 3 year toddler and I was put on top floor of motel, 3 flights of stairs to deal with!! No spare roll of toilet paper in bathroom. Table was not wiped properly. It was $355 for 1 night, won’t stay here again or recommend either. Stale cigarette smoke in room also

Overall OK but some warts

Location walkable to beach park and restaurants. Spacious room, some irregularities like new higher bath tiles making a trip hazard, edge smoothing neglected. My unit #1 had traffic noise, insist on #2 or 3. No reception.

Reasonable price given the location and spacious rooms. Less than 5min walk to beach and cafes/bars/restaurants. Easy on site parking. Older hotel but decent and comfortable. Shower temperature is always hard to get right and takes a while. Beds reasonably comfortable. Usually quiet but if there are rowdy people staying there, its not sound proofed. Not all rooms have microwaves.

The location is great with the beach and pools a quick walk. I also like how close it is to the Lagoon and reserve for nice walks. The facilities are aged but the staff are doing a good job of keeping it clean. My shower head was really busted so it was spraying everywhere and this with the way the bathroom was designed meant that everything was soaking wet all the time. I didn’t like how there is no daily room tidy and clean towels. My towels were all soaked on day one and I had to ask them for new ones which they kindly made an exception for me. I think towels should be replenished daily or at least kept at the desk so it isn’t a hassle. The room was kind of dank and damp as well. You get what you pay for and the price is more because of the location.

We stayed in rooms 7 and 8 close to new years, and the aircon in room 8 did not work. To her credit, the staff on shift tried to fix it which involved turning off all power in the room and us leaving the room for over an hour - unfortunately that didn’t work. There was already a fan in there so we believe it was a known issue. It was a very uncomfortable night made worse by a lopsided bed and a cockroach in the other room. We were offered a partial refund on the night but after numerous follow ups, still have not received any compensation. All in all, a negative experience. The little positives of the place have just been marred by poor service recovery.

Mould in shower, lamp shades, wardrobe, the whole apartment smelled badly, including bedding, carpet, bathroom, everything, and to make matters worse, the air conditioner didn’t work at all.

Old school property about to be knocked down. With a very large “new property coming soon” sign out the front I wondered how much care had been taken recently. Firstly the positives. The room was clean and tidy, the beds had top sheets and the complex is close to the beach and park. As mentioned earlier, the complex will soon be demolished and a new apartment building constructed, there has been little attention paid to maintenance of the building in recent years. I was particularly concerned about the rust in the steel hand rails of the walk up access. There was also a public roof top bbq area with an old mattress leaning against the wall! My last point of disappointment was that I seemed to have booked the only room that does face the beach, I had no idea that the room (2xQueen beds) I had booked was not included in the photos and that it faced west at the rear of the building. The room has a very small fridge (smaller than a bar fridge) and a kettle and microwave but no toaster. I would not stay here again or recommend it.
