This was a fantastic hotel. The room was lovely with a small balcony and lovely comfy double bed. The only thing i would say is paying an additional fee for spa access in a spa hotel isn’t the best although it was only £20 I think the access to the spa should be included.

Dear Owners, I am writing to formally raise a complaint regarding my recent stay at your hotel, which was booked to celebrate our anniversary. Unfortunately, our experience fell far below the standards we expected. On arrival, I was shocked to find that half of the hotel was under construction, with a large skip outside the entrance and building materials scattered around. This was neither mentioned at the time of booking nor communicated beforehand. The “view” I had paid extra for was completely misrepresented and nothing like what was advertised. To make matters worse, we had to request that dirty pillowcases be changed upon arrival, which is unacceptable in any circumstance, let alone for a special occasion. When I raised these issues with staff, I was refused the option to check out without penalty and was also denied any form of compensation, which left me extremely disappointed. This was meant to be a memorable and enjoyable stay for our anniversary, but instead it was stressful and upsetting. I feel that we did not receive the service, environment, or value promised at the time of booking. I am therefore requesting a full refund or, at the very least, appropriate compensation for the poor experience and misleading booking conditions. Please confirm how you intend to resolve this matter. I look forward to your prompt response.

It was unusually hot for the UK and there was no air-conditioning, so we had 2 quite uncomfortable nights sleep. Otherwise, it had a superb balcony with an excellent view of the lake.

We came to celebrate our anniversary & when checking in got a lovely surprise that they upgraded us! They even laid rose petals out on the bed! Room was absolutely gorgeous with the most unreal view, comfy bed & jacuzzi in the room too. Spa was £20 each for 24 hour access which we found really good as most hotels only give a 2 hour slot, it was really pretty & relaxing too. Lobby/bar is amazing, the interior is gorgeous!! Amazing to have breakfast & a drink on the balcony in the sun with the view. Breakfast was £15 each, was so nice and worth it. All staff in the hotel were amazing from start to finish, thank you so much! We enjoyed our stay that much and made our anniversary even more special! We didn’t want to leave & already planning to revisit! Highly recommend :) - they are having some renovations done currently but really doesn’t affect anything at all as it’s at the side of the hotel & isn’t loud at all.
