A magnificent great room with wood burning fireplace, game table and oversized picture windows looks out over the sprawling hills, giant outdoor fire pit and pond. The kitchen is awesome with plenty of refrigerator space. Bring any foil, plastic wrap, leftover containers with you. They have tons of plates, drinkware, cookware. The pool area was a big hit with the younger folks and some of the parents. We didn't end up using the fireplace because the weather was mild.

The hosts couldn't have been more accommodating and prompt in reply to. questions. The history and charm of the property were amazing. Large, very well stocked kitchen. The kids particularly loved the variety of games available. We would definitely recommed for large groups!

The Inn is in an amazing location, accessible from Boston but still gets you into nature. The property has great old world charm. The hosts are very accommodating. This would be an exceptional stay had it not been for a couple of things. Cleanliness was definitely not where it should be. We washed every cooking & eating thing before use because they were gross. Second, the property could use some tlc. Broken windows & blinds are simply unacceptable at this price point. Amenities such as the air hockey table, sauna, and all of the gas fireplaces are broken/inoperable. While we had warning about the sauna before our visit, that doesn't make it any less of a disappointment.

We had a wonderful time at the Inn. The property was lovely- spacious grounds for relaxing, playing whiffle ball, corn hole, and bocce. Our kids enjoyed the indoor pool and game area. The kitchen was well laid out - spacious and very well stocked with pots, pans, etc. It was a pleasure to cook in it. The inn has a very large great room (with a beautiful fireplace) and the dining room fit all 25 in our family. The grounds keeper was very helpful if we had any questions. And the owner was very responsive if we had any questions as well. Our stay couldn’t have been better. Thank you, Eric!

A perfect spot to relax!

Our stay here was wonderful! The property is gorgeous, so much space to spread out for our yearly family vacation (32 of us!). The kitchen is amazing!! You’ll have anything and everything you would need to cook. The pool was great for the kids, the deck outside overlooking the pond is a great spot to relax with a drink and snacks. Communication with the owner was quick and easy, it was clean and really had everything we needed to enjoy hanging with our family. Highly recommend!!

Family Vacation

There were 22 of us ranging from 18 months to 75 years old. We have a large family with 6 children and 7 grandchildren along with partnersThe kitchen was amazing for us as we cooked all our own meals - the stove and ovens were spacious, the center island for prep and to serve from worked great. Having a large dining room where we could sit together for our meals was perfect for us.The rooms were all nicely decorated with comfortable beds and many en suite bathrooms which were appreciated especially by those who wanted more privacy.Having multiple, comfortable sitting areas worked well as the family was able to break into smaller groupings for conversations without everybody being on top of everyone else. The big game room was great for us as we are big game players and we were able to close the doors to it so that the toddlers could play safely while parents and others were competing in scrabble or monopoly. The choice of games was appreciated. The ping pong table, pool table, and the basketball game in the pool wing were all well used. Everyone enjoyed the sauna. The only complaint was the pool temperature and the temperature in the pool area. It was too cold for the toddlers to swim and most of the adults weren't able to stay in for long, if they even went in. We are a family who all love swimming so this was disappointing.

Amazing weekend!

We had a bunch of friends and their families together for the long weekend. The house is perfect for everyone to be able to have plenty of space and amazing entertainment. The kids LOVED the pool and we set up the living room for a perfect movie night. We will be back!

Our Staff Retreat

It is large enough that small groups could gather in areas with large areas big enough for all of us to eat together or cook together. The kitchen is spacious with large refrigerators, a grill, a large stovetop and plenty of countertops. The kids loved the indoor pool in winter. The landlord was very helpful and answered my questions quickly.

Wonderful stay

Our family rented this house to celebrate the holidays, and it was absolutely perfect for our multi-generational group! There was more than enough space for everyone, with plenty of bedrooms and a thoughtful layout that worked wonderfully for each family.The kids were thrilled with the pool and game room, which kept them entertained for hours. Meanwhile, the spacious living room and kitchen were perfect gathering spots for everyone. The kitchen, in particular, was a standout—its size and functionality made cooking for our large group easy and enjoyable.Overall, this house exceeded our expectations and made our holiday celebration truly memorable. Comminication with the owner was prompt and he went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable and effortless We would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a spacious, well-equipped home for a large group getaway!

Friends getaway

This place is great for large groups. So many different rooms to socialize and not feel overwhelmed. The kitchen has everything you could possible need (just bring extra paper towels, garbage bags etc, if you are there for a longer stay). It’s seems that there are some electrical issues with the home but nothing that disrupted our stay & the caretaker did their best to rectify the issue. Bathrooms never ran out of hot water which is always a worry for large homes so that was great! There are lots of fireplaces but only the wood burning one seemed to be functional & wish the pool was a little warmer. Overall a great stay & would recommend!

Perfect weekend

My husband and I invited our wedding party to stay at NHMI with us for the weekend of our wedding! We got married at Ragged Mountain and this inn was a perfect spot for our wedding party to get ready/ hangout after the wedding! The inn was extremely clean and charming with views that will take your breath away. Perfect weekend!

Family Vacation!

It's our second time staying with our extended family. Plenty of space and the kitchen dining room work perfectly for our large group. Hiked Ragged and Kearsarge, and biked the rail trail which is just at the bottom of the hill. Communication with host was easy and quick. The grounds keeper was attentive when the area lost power one night. Excellent stay!

Better than you can even imagine!

Mountainside estate was an absolute dream property! I swear we didn't even find all the bedrooms because there were just so many! All the guests raved about every part of the property, from the pool, to the kitchen, to all the lounge areas. Everything was comfortable, cozy, and very clean. We can't wait to plan our next stay!

Excellent Property

With a group of 20, there are many times where you cannot even find anyone amongst the various spaces, which are all unique.The bedrooms were spacious, the house was clean, and in an excellent location to both Mount Sunapee and the more local Ragged Mtn. I've been booking annual vacation homes for over 10 years and this one is one of the best yet.

Best Year Yet!

Every year our group gets together for what we call a “Christmas Miracle Trip.” We are a large group with several different families and children ranging from 2-10. It’s chaotic and wonderful- we do puzzles, play games, exchange gifts and cook lots of food. We have stayed a different rental for the last 9 years. This property was such a hit! Here’s what we loved: The kitchen- best one yet. Plenty of space (so much counter space!), tons of fridge and freezer room, an ice machine (!!), and the little side nook was very convenient for the littlest one to eat so parents could keep an eye on them while cooking. The rooms were clean, comfortable, the bedding cozy, and there were no noise complaints as each hallway had a door which helped keep napping babies happy. The games were great for the kids, the fireplace room downstairs was super cozy and the property just beautiful. It snowed while we were there and it was so magical. There is charm and beauty everywhere. A delight! Thank you! Also, based on previous reviews we did bring extra toilet paper, paper towels and garbage bags which did come in handy. The chlorine in the pool is strong but the kids loved it anyway!
