Very clean casino with designated smoking area. Hotel rooms were very nice and clean. We were there on a weekday and staffing could have been a little heavier. Had to wait a while for drinks (not free like Vegas) and a bartender at the bar. Staff was very friendly however.

Staffing was a little light. When checking in we were 7th in line with only one person at the desk. No housekeeping unless you request it, they should at least have the door tags to hang if you want it. Nice room, great steakhouse and casual dining. Good all in all.

The resort was very clean and the room we had was great. It was a corner room with lots of views. We dined at the Steakhouse in the Casino. Excellent prime rib, the bread service served with olive oil and garlic was delicious.

This hotel was central to all the areas we wanted to see. Sleeping bear park was great and about 45 minutes by car. Went to elk rapids (25 minutes) and st Ignacio town over Mackinac bridge for shopping and restaurants (1 hr 35 minutes). Traverse city had lots of little shops as well (20 minutes). Car definitely needed. The casino was conveniently located on lower level of hotel. The restaurants on site but buffet only opened on Thursday through the weekend so we didn’t go there. However a steakhouse and deli were on same floor as casino. Rooms were very clean and housekeeping readily available. Lots of parking with little walking to car. 20 minutes from airport. Loved the views from local beaches. Gas stations and quick marts next to hotel.

Fast elevators/dirty showers

Most hotel/casinos that I have stayed at have been exceptional, so I expected the same at Turtle Creek Casino. The rooms are pricey and even more so during a holiday weekend. When we arrived (around 6pm) we went to our room. Everything at first glance was good. We changed and went down for the Thursday night buffet for dinner. The buffet was disgusting. All the food.. was poor quality and bad tasting. They need to put more effort and variety into the food. Casino is small but nice, a good variety of games and the smoking section is on another floor so it didnt smell. Back to the room to shower.. noticed wads of hair all over the shower.. gross. The “blackout” curtains didn’t really blackout the room. The elevators are the fastest elevators I have ever been in. Overall is was an ok experience.
