Buen hotel frente al Glacier NP

El hotel es muy bonito justo frente a la entrada al parque Glacier, el restaurante es buenísimo, mi habitación que tenía balcón es muy pequeña, no había espacio para poner cómodamente los artículos de limpieza, no lo califique perfecto ya que la relación precio calidad no fue ideal pero si lo recomiendo.

Fun to stay in a piece of American history; beautiful restoration and full of ambiance. Rooms are small and expensive - like everything in a town open only 3 months a year - but well worth it for making a memory and being close to the park

This was a truly wonderful experience. Staying at the Belton offered a charming, historic atmosphere, conveniently located just outside the park. The property is absolutely beautiful, and the restaurant provided the best dining experience we had during our stay.

The room was so well appointed for the historical story of the building and area. Staff was welcoming and helpful. Outside seating areas with views. Restaurant food although expensive was delicious and well presented.

Belton charged me a $250.00 deposit for each night on the last three nights of my stay, a total of $750! That was, of course, in addition to the already pre-paid hotel rate through Hotels.com. They refused to give me a reciept for any of these deposits. Restaurant expenses are supposed to be taken off of the deposit(s) at this property. Restaurant staff played sickening little games pretending I had no room at the hotel, like placing your dinner at the empty table setting next to yours as if it was not your order, etc. They claimed that they were having problems with their computer system, and could not take the restaurant charge off of my deposit - so I had to pay the restaurant directly, with my card rather that putting it 'on the room'. They might have been having computer issues, but I did not appreciate their sickningness and inapproprate behaviour at the restaurant, esp. when I had put down $750 for amenities - which was supposed to include the restaurant. I still have no notice that this $750 has been refunded or released.

Fantastic, authentic, pristinely preserved old hotel. It’s like stepping back in time, but tastefully redesigned with all the necessary modern amenities. Except don’t look for a television, but there is no time for television with all there is to do in the park.

Exceptional except for: 1. No elevators and lots and lots of stairs in this old charming place. Keep your heavy bags elsewhere. 2. Their restaurant: Belton Restaurant, which have not yet reviewed. 5 star reputation, substandard service, small portions, 3 star cuisine with a limited menu. Very disappointing. I wish I had taken a pic to share of the miniture chicken dinner with the frozen diced vegetables (carrots, peas, etc) as a side that cost me $30.

We almost didn’t stay based on the train review by someone. The train did go by but never blew its horn. Hardly noticed it and it went by more than once. The building is like stepping back in time a 100 years. What a treat it was to stay there. Awesome place!!!

Views were nice and proximity to the park were nice but that’s where the positives end. Creaky floors, noise that travels down the hallway. Train that’s 30 yards away and restaurant only open for dinner and extremely pricy. The beds are not queen size either. They are full size and the shower is equivalent to a standup locker room shower.

Charming historic chalet built in the early 1900’s. Very comfortable and I rested well. Be aware though that there is no a/c. We were comfortable with the windows open and the ceiling fan on. If the temperature were higher we might not have been. It is in a very convenient location.

I loved staying here. Very authentic, relaxing, and clean. I loved that we could open the windows in our room to adjust the temperature and that they also offered a white noise machine. Free coffee and pastries in the morning, and right outside of the Glacier National Park West Entrance. It’s perfect.

Ja, aber,,,,

Gut gelegenes, schönes, historisches Gebäude am Eingang zum Glacier Nationalpark. Historisches Gebäude bedeutet aber auch, dass es sehr hellhörig ist, sehr kleine Zimmer hat - ohne Schrank, TV und Kühlschrank - und laut knarzenden Fußboden hat (wenn dann nur Zimmer in der zweiten Etage buchen!!!!!). Eine der Damen am Empfang war sowohl beim Ein- als auch Aus-Checken sehr unfreundlich und inkompetent, das restliche Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Nicht zu vergessen, direkt vor dem Gebäude verläuft eine Bahntrasse mit sehr regem Güterverkehr, auch nachts. Vom Hotel werden beim Ein-Checken Ohrstöpsel zur Verfügung gestellt.

Historic charm

The Belton Chalet is clean and charming with a lively history. The staff was friendly and responsive. We stayed a week in early May and the weather varied, but mostly cool. The rooms are small, but functional and a bit of a challenge for a longer stay - more suited for a long weekend. We have lovely memories of the place and exploring the area!

Very Basic

The lication to Glacier Park was great. However, there are no modern amenities such as a mini fridge nor television in the rooms. The walls are paper thin and the breakfast was a piece of cake and coffee.
