Basically everything we needed was there, it was just the finishing touches that were missing for us, for example none of the furniture quite matched - dining table & chairs plus they weren’t comfortable to sit on, or the cups/cutlery not a full set of one design so not major just not what we’re used to I guess. Nice big wardrobes in the main bedroom but they were all locked so no real hanging space available. Biggest discrepancy’s were: 1. the listing said enclosed garden for the dogs, small yard space with gate that was not secure and had open ironwork - ours are medium sized dogs so couldn’t squeeze through but smaller dogs would be able to, we put the table in front of the gate to deter any attempts.2. Listing advertised sky tv, was freeview channels only, no sky channels available, again not the end of the world but if we’d have known we would’ve brought an iPad/projector to watch a film in the evening, and 3. When it got chilly we would’ve liked to have put the heating on for a bit but couldn’t find the thermostat to switch it on - probably just us but we looked everywhere in the dining room and couldn’t find it, helpline was no help so we gave up and layered up instead.Having said all that we had a lovely week in Whitby, it’s somewhere we come back to regularly. The location was great for walking into town or to the beach and because parking can be tricky the permits were a big help.With a few tweaks it’d be a fab property.
