A great cabin with only minor issues

The basic cabin arrangement is just super for adults. A king bedroom and bath on separate levels affords privacy for all. The media/game area in the lower level saved us from boredom because we were housebound for 4 days due to the freak winter storm “Elliot”. It was simply too cold to go out and try to do anything! One cabin issue was very low water pressure in general (but super hot water). Unfortunately the freakish intense cold challenged the cabin’s ability to keep us comfortable. (We actually left a day early due to the intense cold). While the kitchen was greatly facilitated with all that you could possibly need to make wonderful meals, there was no pantry area, which meant the small kitchen counter/bar was loaded with dry goods. Not earth shattering, just annoying. The furniture was very comfortable, the cabin lighting in all the rooms was great, the beds were good (with the exception that the mattress pad in the main level bedroom needs to be replaced due to a huge stain). The cabin is called “Bearadise”and is decorated so beautifully in keeping with that name. You will be pleasantly surprised by all the bear goodies/touches throughout the cabin! Also, the cabin was clean (with only minor issues) and the wood burning fireplace in the main family room was much appreciated and used extensively. We were very disappointed that due to the weather we couldn’t enjoy the fantastic fire pit area outside, although our adult sons tried desperately to do so but had to finally give up! We would really like to return to this cabin in the summer or fall so we can enjoy the fire pit outside and all that the surrounding Boone/West Jefferson area has to offer.

Great Getaway

We really enjoyed the cabin and the outdoor areas. The back porch is a great space, and we had lunch out there a couple of times. The fire pit area is extremely nice with lots of seating. Loved it!

Wonderful property, beautiful location.

Property was perfect for our family of 5. Kids loved the pool table. Location was perfect for us to attend a family wedding. Easy drive to Boone for groceries. Really enjoyed coffee on the back deck. Will stay here again. Highly recommended.

Beautiful space

Little family get away.... my husband and 2 sons aged 8 and 12. perfect space for us....each of my boys had their own floor of the house and own bathrooms which they loved. We didn't have the best weather for our trip, but that gave us lots of time to enjoy the home. My kids had a great time in the movie room, playing darts and pool. They also set up their gaming system in the upstairs lounge, it worked out great for us. The place was pretty clean, but the floors needed attention. Check in and out process was great, except instructions for checking out said to run the dishwasher and take out the trash, which we tried but there was no trash bags and no dishwasher detergent. whomp whomp...... overall great stay, only gripe was bath towels were child sized. Bring your own if you like a big plush towel.

West Jefferson trip

Beaut clean gorgeous cabin. Not too far from the town. Able to cook/eats meal in the cabin. Literally 1-2 minutes away from the Blue Ridge Parkway for picture perfect mountain scenery.

adult couples vacation oasis

Bearadise is an adult couples vacation oasis. Having the "starter amenities" was a tremendous bonus after a long drive and before going to grocery store. The house was immaculately clean. I've already sent relatives the property ID for their future vacation needs. This is one of the best VRBO properties in which I've stayed.

We loved Bearadise!

We came up for a wedding at Sky Retreat and this was perfect! It was 8 minutes away from the venue, well stocked kitchen, beautiful, comfortable, and amazing. We plan on returning.
