Villa de 3 dormitorios frente al mar, a 1 minuto a pie de la playa 'Mile-Long'

Ewing House está en una ladera, a 60 pies sobre el nivel del mar, bordeada por el océano en dos lados y domina la playa de Long Bay de ‘millas de largo. Desde todas las habitaciones y salas comunes se pueden ver otras islas, las más conocidas son Jost Van Dyke y St. Thomas mientras disfruta de las vistas de infinitos veleros, varias aves y peces en las aguas de abajo. Estás a 3 minutos a pie del agua cuando la playa comienza al pie de nuestra entrada, a unos 50 metros de nuestra casa. Somos una de las pocas casas en la isla que realmente se encuentra en una playa utilizable. Esta es una playa muy hermosa, que puede reconocer ya que nuestra vista a menudo aparece en calendarios y otras publicaciones sobre el Caribe. Sentimos que tenemos la vista más hermosa de la isla. Otros deben sentir lo mismo, ya que hemos tenido una pareja que toma la casa durante un mes cada año durante 25 años y otras parejas que han venido en el área de cinco años o más.

Ubicado en el West End de Tortola, Ewing House tiene acceso a pie a excelentes playas para tomar el sol, nadar, bucear y practicar surf. West End tiene muchos restaurantes excelentes, una serie de circuitos para correr / caminar a lo largo del océano, tenis y vela, así como excursiones de un día de buceo que salen del cercano Soper’s Hole. Por supuesto, también se puede leer a la sombra del porche o tomar el sol y ver pasar las olas. La casa tiene 3 habitaciones, cada una con la misma vista y tamaño. Habíamos alquilado numerosas casas y, en general, alguien estaba decepcionado cuando su habitación era más pequeña. Cada habitación tiene su propio baño y vestidor. Si bien preferimos ventiladores de techo y ventanas abiertas, las habitaciones ahora también tienen aire acondicionado para que tenga la opción.

La casa viene con servicio de limpieza diario y la criada siempre recibe excelentes críticas. Dion Stoutt maneja nuestra casa. Ha sido uno de nuestros vecinos y amigos durante muchos años. Es muy fácil tratar con él y tiene un conocimiento increíble de la isla. Tanto él como la criada pueden ayudarlo con cualquier problema o pregunta que pueda tener. Hay tantas cosas que hacer en la isla y son posibles viajes en ferry a muchas otras islas. Siempre visitamos al menos otra isla cada vez que estamos allí.

The Ewing House was perfect for our family of 6 adults. We were attending daughter's wedding at Long Bay Resort and it was truly just a short walk down the hill. We actually enjoyed not having to eat all meal at Long Bay Resort and have our own space. Check in was simple, house is just as pictured and the mini splits in the bedrooms worked superbly. We enjoyed the open air of the living area although in the late afternoon, it did get warm. Spacious bedrooms with great closet space, bathrooms functional and hot water never was an issue even with 6 of us getting ready at the same time. Christine was very helpful when our flights leaving the island were canceled. Owner and Christine were responsive and accommodating and we always felt safe even late at night walking back from the resort. Can't wait to go back!!!!!

We loved our stay largely because the view of the ocean and beach are absolutely stunning. Sounds of waves crashing below rocked us to sleep. Couldn’t wait to get up to sip coffee and watch the light dance on the water. Staff were friendly and helpful. Beds very comfortable and can be set up either as kings or twins which added flexibility. Well provisioned kitchen. Our host James was great in answering questions and provided a terrific house manual. He also let us store our luggage while the home was being cleaned and after we departed. Plus the West End of Tortola was far more appealing than the Road Town area. So lots of big pluses. There were also a few things that were sufficient but not up to that level. The furniture was fine but not much more. And the water pressure was really low, with hot water not much more than like warm. Also the beach below, while gorgeous, wasn’t really good for swimming as there are many stones. Finally, the driveway parking was very tricky. That aside, we loved our stay because the intimate connection with the Caribbean, location, and view.

Unable to enjoy view most of stay in April

We were not told about how hot main living area as air conditioning is only in bedrooms. The sun is so strong you can only tolerate deck with view early am and late pm. Also share driveway with another house and found ourselves blocked a few times. Septic backed up and could not do laundry or shower for 2 days. Seems being a rental they should check tank as it was full.

The view from the balcony is hands down breathtaking! The location and beach access is superb. The house had 3 ensuite bedrooms and an efficient floor plan.

We had a fantastic time. The house is in a great location. The views are amazing. The host was very prompt when I had questions and was very helpful with information about the house, restaurants, directions & car rentals. The house was clean, kitchen was well stocked, beds were comfortable, beach access, great restaurants at the end of driveway. Ewing House hit the mark

We had a group at Long Bag Beach resort. Ewing House location was perfect to meet friends at the resort. we simply walked down the driveway and to the beach; 5 min walk max. House is very clean and the view is perfect.

View to die for

We loved our stay and the view after walking in front door never gets old. Were able to walk to our favorite beach (Smugglers Cove) and local restaurants. Sebastian’s and both restaurants at Long Bay resort were all very much enjoyed. Would highly recommend.

A Gem in Paradise

Tortola Retreat

Wonderful home in wonderful location. Beautiful view of long bay and Jost. Silky sand beach steps away. As well as two great restaurants. Shady 30 minute trek to Smugglers Cove, with nice snorkeling, calm waters and beach bars. Home has 3 king bedrooms with en suites, nice patio and decks, and good kitchen for meals at home. Great place!

I honestly don’t know how many times we have stayed at Ewing House. The views are wonderful and sunsets are often spectacular. The beach is very accessible and walkable. We highly recommend a stay.

Great Time in the BVI!

We are 3 couples in our 60's visiting Ewinging House for the second time. The house is in a perfect location, right above the beach. We ate out almost every night; our favorites were Tropical Fusion, Bananakeet, Sebastians and Sugar Mill. We used Stouts Taxi service and Murlises Taxi. The beach had changed a bit since our last visit in 2016. The ocean was very rough and there was coral in the water so be careful where you walk. We spent a day at Smugglers Cove where the water was much calmer. Had drinks and wonderful hot dogs at Nigel's Boom Boom Beach Bar! In all, we had a wonderful stay. We didn't want to go home.

Do We Have to Leave?

My family of four so enjoyed our 2 week stay at the Ewing House. What a special place on this planet, views were over the top gorgeous, loved our walks to the beach, Tropical Fusions and the resort. The locals on Tortola are the kindest and most lovely people. Enjoyed days on Long Bay, hanging with Nigel at Smugglers Cove (so convenient and an amazing beach), soaking in the sun and sounds at Cane Garden, and a super easy and fun day to Jost. Great local restaurants to boot.

Must be one of the best views in the world!

We stayed there seven years ago before the hurricane. We were a bit concerned on what we would find, but the house is in excellent shape. We had a wonderful time ambling on the beaches snorkeling right out in front of the house and in smugglers cove. The memories from this wonderful place will be forever in your mind once you visit.
