Lovely Getaway

This property was so cute! It had everything you needed. Relaxing and comfortable, the river was a gorgeous backsplash to the property. Kelly was always responsive and super sweet! All in all an amazing experience and such a cute town.

Great Host

During a prior workshop, the instructor told us after booking that she recommended booking a different location 30 mins away. I kept that booking, but I tried to avoid issues this time by booking last minute. Unfortunately the Guide cancelled due to health issues the day after booking this one. It was non-refundable, but I am thankful that Kelly was willing to work with me and change the dates. Otherwise, I would have had to come up on my own and do the best I could without guidance. Thank you!

Enjoyed our quiet two night stay. Had a slight hiccup checking in (key code wasn't working), but it was remedied quickly. Sunsets were beautiful, neighborhood is quiet, and the surrounding area is gorgeous.

Lovely Little Spot - in town but quiet!

Lovely spot , very clean & up to date!! Very relaxing fire pit in yard and down by the river. Quick response from owner. Perfect for a couple. There is a flight of steep steps inside to access apartment. Outside steps are less steep, if you have issues. Highly recommend. Perfect accommodations for the wedding we were attending. Would love to come back.

If you’re looking for quiet, cozy, and calm, this is the place. The house was just enough for myself, husband and our 6 month old baby. We especially enjoyed bird watching down by the river. Kelly was easy to reach for anything additional we needed. There’s really not much more to ask for.

Relaxing river side weekend stay

Wallkill River was very peaceful. Very clean, safe, and comfortable. Highly recommend if you’re getting away for a weekend. A lot of things to do and eat within 30 minutes. Owners provided a fantastic folder upon check in as well. Decorated very nicely.

Loved it!

We needed a place while visiting our son for “A” Day at West Point. Though the miles were within range it was a 45 minute drive. That is the only down side!!! We loved this place. It is attached to a larger home and is over the garage but once you get inside you would never know it. The apartment protrudes infront of the home so you don’t see it when outside. The view and back yard are lovely!!! We were entertained by seeing we wildlife every few minutes. There were ducks and geese at sunrise, gophers, chipmunks and squirrels in the afternoon. We even saw a heron before dusk. The interior was so well done. The mattress was the BEST!!!! It had a HUGE new tv that we didn’t have time to use. The home had everything we needed! Loved it!

Beautiful spot!

My son had a blast fishing in the river (caught several smallmouths) and I enjoyed just listening to the sounds of the river. I’d echo the other reviews about the light in the morning; some blackout curtains in the bedroom would be awesome. Overall a perfect stay!

Lovely apartment for post-hike relaxation

We loved this property! It’s located less than 30mins away from most sights and is a beautiful place to regroup after a long day out. The deck and backyard are so peaceful and great for catching local wildlife. We were lucky enough to see a family of skunks! Would definitely stay here again.

Very quiet and with the river in the back yard

We enjoyed staying here a few days. The place has been updated and was clean. We didn't use the fire pit but we did sit outside on the deck a couple times. The sound of the river is very relaxing.

Great little quiet escape

Our stay was sooo nice! It was great to get away from the hustle and bustle and relax out by the water. The place was just like the pictures. It had everything we needed. Everything was clean and the owners were great with communication. Thank you for the stay! Anything we went to was pretty close. We loved café mío it was a great spot for breakfast /lunch.

Great place for a getaway

Everything was very clean and exactly as listed. It was the perfect getaway for us with easy access to lots of hiking. We enjoyed the fire pit after a day of hiking. The bed was comfortable. Be aware that the stairs are a bit steep so if that is a problem for you this property is not for you. The only issue we has was that tenants in another apartment on the property were quite discourteous about parking in the driveway. They kept parking their Suburban towards the middle of the driveway and did not pull down so we could barely get around them to park our car. This is not the fault of the hosts as they gave us very specific directions on how to park so I am sure they gave the same to other tenants. But know that the driveway is shared and you should park where you are asked to. We would definitely stay here again if we return to the area.
