One-room cabin as accurately described in the listing. We had all we needed for a week-long stay. The location felt reasonably private, tucked away from the bulk of the RV resort guests. It was fun to watch the fish, turtles and snakes cruise by in the creek.
Communication with property manager was responsive, friendly and helpful for the few questions we had.
Pros and cons of staying at the Otter House:
There is some wear and tear as a rental, of course. Some updates should be considered for a better first impression. The kitchen and bath seemed clean and well stocked with towels. Bedding was freshly laundered. Stovetop and microwave worked just fine, fridge was a compact and we didn't use the oven.
Wi-fi was reliable for the first two days, then continually dropped for the rest of our stay. Depended on phone's hotspot (G5) to use the laptop. Didn't watch much TV, but Dish was available.
The spa on the deck was a great option, we used it a few times over the course of the stay. The pump/heater will switch on and off throughout the night to maintain water temp, and it took a few nights of waking up to adapt to hearing it.
The traffic noise from nearby Hwy. 321 (Lamar Alexander Pkwy.) was somewhat unexpected. If a potential visitor is looking at this location on the map (as we did), yes, it is literally just on the other side of the river and a busy road during the day. We didn't spend a lot of time at the cabin during daylight hours, so it didn't impact us too much.
