  • Ensure your boarding pass and travel ID are easy to access. You’ll be required to show them straightaway.
  • Coins, belts and power banks should be put in a tray for X-raying. If you walk into the body scanner with any of these items, you’ll be instructed to turn back and remove them.
  • Laptops need to be taken out of their protective carriers and placed in a tub before X-raying.
  • When you approach the security checkpoint, you’ll be asked to place all creams, gels and liquids in a separate bin for scanning. Make sure they’re all packed in containers no larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) and sealed in a clear zip-lock bag.
  • Think about the type of footwear you want to travel in. Slippers are awesome because they’re super easy to slip out of when you’re at the security checkpoint. Try wearing some on your next journey!
  • Multi-tools and corkscrews are prohibited from entering the aircraft. Stash them away in your checked luggage to avoid losing them at the security checkpoint.

How to find cheap flights
