You'll have the entire home to yourself and will only share it with other guests in your party.

Villa la Capirota, Spain

The property is located in a peaceful rural area at the foot of Roque Niquiomo Mountain, near the GR 130 hiking trail, in an area with an ideal climate.
This vacation home promises a wonderful vacation experience—especially for families with children and teenagers. This is ensured, for example, by the treehouse, the basketball court, and the hill within the fenced-in property, which offers a view of the east coast; you can even let your gaze wander all the way to the capital, Santa Cruz de La Palma.
The accommodations are suitable for up to 6 people, though we recommend it for families since there is only one bathroom in the main house; the third bedroom is simply furnished and better suited for children.

Villa la Capirota:

The main house, La Capirota, is a two-story building—a “Sobradada,” as only wealthy farmers could afford back then.
The property once also included a pigsty, a barn, and a threshing floor (for processing grain). In keeping with the traditional rural architectural style of La Palma, the buildings face the island’s interior to take advantage of the trade winds that prevail in the Canary Islands.
On the estate, guests are accommodated in the main house, La Capirota—the nickname of the last owner, Carmen Rocha, from whom the current owners purchased it in the 1990s and then poco a poco renovated and expanded it.
The finca covers 8,000 m², has a total built-up area of 408 m², and features a private parking lot.
It was previously inhabited by, among others, the parents of the current owners and was also frequently used by the family from Palma and their children, which is evident in the practical and high-quality furnishings.
On the first floor, extending almost the entire length of the house, is an attached room with a wooden ceiling, a long window front facing the property, a sofa, seating, countertops and storage space, a TV, a dining table, and a fireplace—from here, the kitchen, bathroom, dining room, and the living room (with a wooden staircase leading to the upper bedrooms). Another room with beds for two people (we recommend this room for children) adjoins this living room.
The area in front of the house is beautifully landscaped with a fountain, shade trees, a branch swing, lighting, benches, and an idyllic, somewhat sheltered dining area.
Inside the house, there is a rustic dining room that you are welcome to use, as well as the dining table in the new wing mentioned earlier. The kitchen isn’t very large, but it is well-equipped with an oven, microwave, and various cooking utensils; however, there is no dishwasher. Here, a high table seats two people.
Next to the kitchen is a niche containing the washing machine, a dryer, and cleaning supplies, etc. The small shower room is also accessible through the kitchen. Apart from a space heater, a full-length mirror, a shower stall, a sink, a toilet, and some storage space, there is very little room here. It should be noted at this point that there is no bathroom on the upper floor, where the two main bedrooms are located.
The living room, furnished with a sofa, chaise longue, and TV, also contains books, including the volume *Arquitectura de La Palma* (Architecture of La Palma), which features a photo essay on the house. The children’s bedroom opens off the living room; it has glass doors, two pull-out beds, a small desk, a clothes rack, and a chest. The beautiful Canarian bay window serves as a place to sit or a storage surface.
The vacation home offers high-speed fiber-optic internet. The TVs are connected to Chromecast, so you can use apps from your phone—such as Netflix, Spotify, and YouTube—here.
La Capirota offers two bedrooms, each with a double bed, separated by a spacious walk-in closet on the upper floor.
If you go up the wooden staircase in the living room, you’ll find yourself in the open-concept dressing room, which offers plenty of storage space and surfaces—including a three-seater sofa, two closets, a dresser, a table, a shoe rack, and chests—where you can spread out comfortably.
Both bedrooms there are each furnished with a double bed, nightstands with reading lamps, mirrors, coat hooks, and an armchair. Here, too, beautiful bay windows provide additional seating; in one of the bedrooms, luggage can be stored in a dresser. The interior design is tasteful and in keeping with the stately, historic house; it feels pleasantly bright and modern.
The property is laid out like a park with small paths and
