Great beach location in spacious, rustic well equipped house

Rui was a great host, very helpful with suggestions for local area. Rustic house overlooking the sea. Several terraced areas to enjoy the views, relax under the shady vine or sunbath on an upper terrace. Well equipped and lots of attention to detail, eg areas to put a parasol, seat cushions for sun beds even shower soap, washing liquid etc. Best sandy beach to right of the house is approx 15min walk over rocks and path. House is spacious on three levels. We could relax separately from our teens if needed but I would not necessarily recommend for toddlers due to terraces and steps. Lots a character and excellent sea view, with a dramatic rocky coastline. Website images do not do it justice.

Amazing Place

Unique and homey property. Walked public trail down to beach every day. Views of sunrise and surf. Spectacular views of night skye and Vianna do Castello lights. Awoke to sunrise over Santa Luiza and birds singing. Short drive to city but very much a country feel. Would most definitely visit again. Thank You Rui

The house was excellent

I enjoyed the house and surrounding area. The house was clean and the amenities were what I wanted. The people were kind and helpful and could communicate in several languages. My only problem was access. The one lane poorly maintain road was an experience. The owner can't control this aspect. I would recommend this property to any one going into this area.

Ein Haus in einer wunderschönen Lage auf einem Hügel direkt am Atlantik. Ums Haus herum 5 Sitzplätze/Terrassen, so dass man zu jeder Tageszeit zwischen Sonne und Schatten wählen kann. Von zwei Terrassen hat man direkten Blick aufs Meer. Der Gastgeber ist freundlich und hilfsbereit; wir haben unseren Urlaub dort sehr genossen.

Wunderbare Ferien

Wir haben hier wunderbare Ferien verbracht, es hat an nichts gefehlt, wir waren begeistert von dem großen verwinkelten Haus und den verschiedenen Terrassen mit Meerblick. Ein schöner Wanderweg (Pilgerweg nach Santiago) führt direkt am Haus vorbei, Strand und Küste liegen vor der Haustür. Zum Surfen gibt es in kurzer Entfernung mehrere schöne Strände. Die Besitzer sind sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich, bei kleinen Problemen mit dem Auto hatten wir direkt die Hilfe des Nachbarn. Rui et Olinda, muito obrigado por tudo er até à próxima!

Ein Kleinod am Atlantik

Wir bedanken uns bei Rui - einem so herzlichen und hilfsbereiten Gastgeber -für unseren wundervollen Urlaub in einem voll ausgestatteten kühlen Haus auf mehreren Ebenen, wo man sich sofort zuhause fühlt und bleiben möchte. Alles was glücklich macht, ist da: Ruhe, Strände, Natur, W-LAN, Espresso-Maschine, Moderner Herd, Waschmaschine, Mixer, Geschirrspüler, Klimaanlage, Hängematten und Meeresrauschen. Der Jakobsweg verläuft direkt neben dem Haus und man kann die Pilgerer beobachten, ohne sich gestört zu fühlen. Jeden Morgen plumste für uns eine Zitrone vom Baum für unsere Limonade. Die verschiedenen Terassen unter Weintrauben im Schatten oder mit Meerblick waren phantastisch. Vom Haus kann man direkt den Küstenwanderweg zum nächsten tollen Paço- Strand nehmen oder sogar noch bequem zum Arda-Strand weiterwandern. Diese von Rui selbstgebaute Steinvilla ermöglicht einen entspannten Urlaub fernab vom Massentourismus und hat uns als Großstadtfamilie aus Berlin sehr gut getan! Wir kommen bestimmt wieder! Tolle, Lage, tolles Haus

Das Haus liegt wunderschön und sehr ruhig in kurzer Meerentfernung. Es ist super ausgestattet, mit allem, was man braucht und mehr (Küche, Hängematten, Liegestühle...). Rui und seine Frau waren sehr zuvorkommend und haben uns viele Tipps für Restaurants und Ausflüge gegeben. Die vielen Terrassen sind toll, für jede Tageszeit und Sonnenstand eine. Wir kommen jederzeit gern wieder!

Paradiesisch

Das Haus ist ein liebevoll restauriertes und modernisierte Granitsteinhaus. Über mehrere Ebenen und durch verschiedene Eingänge kommt man auf die, fünf Terrassen, auf denen wir unglaublich viel wunderbare Zeit verbracht haben. Da ist für jeden was dabei, Schatten, Sonne, Halbschatten... Der Ausblick zu Meer ist einfach fantastisch! Ruhig ist es auch denn am Haus vorbei führt nur ein Teilstück des Jakobspfades, kein Autoverkehr! Wir haben es besonders genossen den wilden Atlantikwogen zuzuschauen! Rui, der Vermieter ist sehr freundlich und hat uns herzlich empfangen! Ach ja, noch etwas zur Ausstattung... die war wirklich hervorragend, es hat an nichts gefehlt. Sogar gute Messer waren vorhanden, etwas, was man fast nie antrifft. Viele schöne Handtücher, auch Badehandtücher, Hängematten... unmöglich das alles aufzuzählen. Meine Freundin und ich fahren seit 20 Jahren in Südeuropa in Urlaub und mieten Ferienwohnungen. Wir sind und einig, dass uns dieses Haus und dieser Ort am besten von allen gefällt. Falls ihr Ruhe sucht und eine idyllische Umgebung, seid ihr hier richtig! Wenn es irgendwie geht, werden wir wieder kommen! Danke für alles Rui

Tolle Villa am Strand mit vielen Terrassen

Das Haus liegt an einem idyllischen kleinen Pfad direkt zum Strand gelegen. Es ist top ausgestattet mit Liegestühlen, Küchengeräten, sogar einer Outdoor Küche und die vielen Terrassen mit Blick aufs Meer sind großartig. Noch viel großartiger war unser Host Rui, der sich ganz rührend um uns gekümmert hat. Wir haben uns wie zu Hause gefühlt!

Lovely house by the sea

Rui's house is beautifully situated, high up with great, long sea views from the kitchen and terraces. The access lanes are charmingly narrow (we were pleased we'd rented a Fiat 500!). In March, all was peaceful: there are no passing cars. As city dwellers we enjoyed the quiet, the sea air, the spectacular Ecovia walks. There are several terraces on different levels; in summer you could choose between shady or sunny, and even in March we ate breakfast outside. Inside, we were glad of the efficient heating. The house is exceptionally well equipped: not just in the kitchen, but throughout (there's a washing machine and drier, and there are litttle things like plenty of kitchen paper, even insect repellent and umbrellas). Rui is a welcoming, attentive host. We felt instantly at home, and had a perfect holiday.

Super Urlaub in einem wunderschönen Haus

Wir haben einen wirklich tollen Urlaub in der CASA DE FORNELOS verbracht. Das Haus ist wirklich sehr schön, mit der Lage fast direkt am Meer, den vielen verschiedenen Terrassen und Sitzmöglichkeiten, der Innengestaltung und dem sehr gepflegetn Zusatnd. Alles was wir brauchten war gleich mehrfach vorhanden. Kochen hat viel Spass gemacht. Hervorzuheben ist die Unterstützung durch Rui und seine Familie. Auch Ende September war das Wetter sehr schön für Ausflüge in die Umgebung. Und wenn es dann doch mal regnet kann man sich auch gut im Haus aufhalten. Wir können nur jedem empfehlen hier Urlaub zu machen.

Entspannung pur ... mit Top-Ausstattung

Wir haben hier ein paar wunderschöne Tage verbracht. Unser Gastgeber, Herr Rui Lopes, hat uns sehr freundlich empfangen und stand stets mit Rat und Tat zur Seite so, dass wir uns sehr willkommen gefühlt haben. Das Haus ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet mit vielen kunstvollen Elementen. Auch sonst lässt die Ausstattung kaum Wünsche offen. Das Meer ist omnipräsent, sei es durch das extrem entspannende Meeresrauschen oder den wunderschönen Blick von der Terrasse oder dem Sonnendeck. Der nächste Sandstrand ist nur ein paar Gehminuten entfernt und die "Ecovia" lädt sowohl zu entspannten Spaziergängen als auch zu längeren Wanderungen ein. Trotz einsetzendem Herbstes (Anfang Oktober) konnten wir die Meerestemperatur noch testen: kühl aber noch überraschend angenehm. Vielen Dank an Herrn Rui, wir haben die paar Tage äußerst genossen und kommen bei Gelegenheit gerne wieder. Passamos uns dias maravilhosos nesta casa de férias. O nosso anfitrião, o Sr. Rui Lopes fez-nos sentir em casa, muito simpático e acolhedor não deixou que nos faltasse nada. Aliás, a casa é linda, com recantos interiores e exteriores que fazem querer passar horas em cada um deles. Decorada e mantida com muito bom gosto, com peças de arte lindas, muito confortável e com tudo o que é necessário e muito mais. O mar é uma presença constante neste local, seja pelo som muito relaxante das ondas como pela vista maravilhosa. A praia de areia mais próxima fica a uns minutos a pé pela ecovia. Apesar de já ser Outubro e Outono ainda conseguimos testar a temperatura do mar, estava surpreendentemente muito boa! Obrigada por tudo Sr. Rui, adoramos estes dias e voltaremos com certeza numa próxima oportunidade! R. E. M.

Traumhafte Lage, lässt nichts zu wünschen übrig

Für Ruhesuchende traumhafte ruhige Lage mit Meerblick. Der schönste Strand, den wir in den 14 Tagen finden konnten, ist in 10 Minuten zu Fuß durch schönste Heidelandschaft zu erreichen. Wir haben zu zweit nur einen Teil des Hauses genutzt. Alles blitzsauber, Handtücher in Mengen, auch für den Strand, vorhanden. Draußen viele Möglichkeiten das Panorama zu genießen, in der Sonne oder im Schatten, wie gewünscht. Die Küche ist hervorragend ausgestattet, sogar gute Messer, was sonst selten der Fall ist in Mietwohnungen, besonders viel genutzt haben wir die Zitronenpresse. Olinda und Rui sind wirklich liebe Menschen und sehr hilfsbereite Vermieter. Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen und kommen bestimmt wieder! Ein herzliches Dankeschön für die schöne Zeit und liebe Grüße von Frank und Grit

Wunderschöne Lage

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Es war der perfekte Ort für einen entspannten Urlaub in traumhafter Lage fünf Fußminuten vom Meer entfernt. Das Haus ist wildromantisch an den Felsen gebaut und mit viel Liebe ausgestattet. In Natura ist das Haus noch schöner, als auf den Fotos der Beschreibung. Die Küche hat alles zu bieten, was man sich im Urlaub wünschen könnte. Spülmaschine, Backofen, Kontaktgrill, Zitruspresse etc. Es gibt Liegestühle, Strandhandtücher, Sonnenschirme etc. Was aber das Schönste ist: das Haus passt perfekt in die wunderschöne Gegend. Jakobspilger wandern vormittags direkt dort vorbei, andere Wanderer und Sportler nutzen den Ecovia de Literal de Norte auch. Von den schönen Sitzplätzen auf den Terrassen mit unterschiedlichen Ebenen kann man das entspannt betrachten. Die Brandung rauscht leise, Vögel zwitschern, Schafe mähen ein bisschen, ein Hahn kräht und es duftet lecker nach Blumen. Entspannung pur! Rui ist ein sehr aufmerksamer und unkomplizierter Gastgeber, auch wenn mein Handy die Kommunikation in Portugal verweigert hat 😏. Unbedingte Empfehlung für alle, die sich in naturnaher und rustikaler Umgebung wohlfühlen. Man braucht sicher ein Auto, um vernünftig dorthin zu kommen. Das kann man dann auch nutzen, um die Gegend zu erkunden. Caminha, Viana do Castelo, Braga und Camaraes sind sehr sehenswert. Ansonsten ist natürlich das Meer und zwei Strände zu Fuß zu erreichen. Ein weiterer ist in ca. 10-15 Minuten per Auto erreichbar. Vielen Dank, dass wir dort sein durften. Wir haben schon allen vorgeschwärmt und kommen auch gerne wieder.

Super agréable

Maison de vacances très agréable à même pas 2 minutes à pied de l'océan que l'on entend gronder depuis les fenêtres ! Très dépaysant, vue magnifique sur la campagne environnante et l'océan, plusieurs terrasses pour profiter de la vue et du soleil ! Maison très calme et reposante avec beaucoup de charme où rien ne manque même le WiFi ! Merci à Rui de son accueil chaleureux et ses conseils de balades et de bons restaurants ! Séjour très positif pour nous, on reviendra !!!

Encore un séjour exceptionnel

Cela fait maintenant 3 ans que nous louons cette magnifique maison à 2 pas de la mer...Olinda et Rui, les propriétaires, toujours aimables et charmants, ont réalisé au fil des années, différents aménagements afin que nous puissions nous sentir comme à la maison...tout est parfait...des équipements de premier ordre, RIEN ne manque. Un havre de paix, idéal pour de vraies vacances reposantes, et un pied à terre extraordinaire pour découvrir cette belle région du Minho. Nous reviendrons l'année prochaine. Schmuckstück am Atlantik

Wir können uns unseren Vorgängerinnen nur anschliessen. Trotz Corona Krise hatten wir einen äusserst schönen Urlaub. Das Haus hat uns sogar noch viel mehr positiv überrascht als angenommen. Mit 4 Personen wie wir, hatte das Haus mehr Platz als wir benötigt hätten. Vor Ort findet man überdurchschnittlich viele schöne Bereiche, Terrassen und Ecken zum verweilen, lesen, Essen, schlafen. Auch die Umgebung ist sehr schön. In 3 Minuten ist man am Wasser. Die Kinder hatten ihre Freude mit Glühwürmchen die es dort gibt. Alles in allem haben wir eine wirklich schöne Zeit gehabt, jenseits von Massentourismus. Auch Rui war bei Fragen sofort zur Stelle und konnte viele nützliche Tipps geben. Wären wir der Typ Reisende , die öfter am gleichen Ort Ihren Urlaub verbringen, Ruis Villa wäre dieser Ort. Wir wünschen ihm alles gute und immer ein volles Haus.
