About the home
“The Bach at Ventnor” is a comfortable single-storey family home in Ventnor, just a comfortable walk from the pet-friendly beach and a short drive to the supermarkets, restaurants & cafés of Cowes. Some of the many features of this lovely home are detailed below:
Indoor Areas
The light-filled open-plan Kitchen/Dining/Family area (with seating for 6 people) flows directly out to the rear deck, creating an easy indoor-outdoor living space. A separate Living Room (with a 50" TV, a selection of books & board games, and a Coonara wood heater) leads directly out to the front Porch. A central hallway provides access to Bedroom 1 (with BIR), as well as Bedroom 2 (with freestanding robe) and Bedroom 3 (with BIR). The Bathroom (with bath, shower & toilet) services the Bedrooms, while the fully equipped Laundry (with washing machine & clothes dryer) and a separate toilet are conveniently located off the Family Room.
Outdoor Areas
The cozy shaded Deck (with hanging egg chair) opens from the main Living Area. The fully enclosed rear yard (with gas BBQ & seating for 6 people) has a large lawn shaded by mature trees, a firepit (some wood provided ot get you started) and a hammock for relaxing - a perfect space for children and pets. The home also includes a covered front Porch & a Carport (with parking for one car) and additional space for two more vehicles (cars and/or a boat) in the driveway.
Please note: The home has two external security cameras, one in the carport and one at the front door, and they do not face any internal or private areas.
Kitchen
The fully appointed kitchen is well equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, and cutlery and includes a microwave, DeLonghi coffee machine (ground), toaster, and kettle, along with a double sink, fridge, dishwasher, electric oven and cooktop.
Heating/Cooling Systems
There are two wall-mounted reverse cycle air conditioners in the home; one in each of the Living room and Bedroom 2. The home also includes two stand-alone heaters and fans, which can be used where required, plus a cosy Coonara wood heater (some wood provided).

Linen
It is common in the region for some linen to be provided for bookings, and some linen to be available as an optional extra. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed - and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged.
Peak Periods
Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm unless by prior arrangement. Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.
Functions, Celebrations and Schoolies
Please note that the home is not suitable for celebrations, parties, or large events. The home also does not take bookings over Schoolies, irrespective of whether school-leavers are part of the official Schoolies Program.
