The hotel is in a perfect location to go exploring and is surrounded by so many amazing restaurants. The host gave us a very handy map with personalised recommendations for places to eat, walks to do and places to go and see. Would 10000% recommend to any of my friends and family

Very lovely building in a great location. Frederica was very helpful and kind and she provided us with a map and recommendations. Loved the style and history within the place and I was amazed with our room, overlooking the canal. Definitely recommend.

It is located in a lovely safe area for walking to any attraction with a place to eat just outside the hotel and nearby. The costumer service was excellent from the front desk to the house keeping. It was an awesome place to spend your holidays.

Conveniently located but very small room and very old. For the amount of time we were in the room it was fine but bed was small along with small bathroom. Steep stairs do get up to lobby from street. Old charm.

Both the staff were extremely helpful, be sure to visit the restaurant recommended, especially Trattoria Storica, spagetti pesto, baked seabass with potatoes, then panacotta were delicious and staff very entertaining. Combo has perfect grounds to sit and chill very reasonable. The hotel is situated in the perfect spot, very central, just 20 min walk to all sites. Hotel is very clean and rooms are lovely with ensuite and air-conditioning, perfect to put your head down after a long day sightseeing. But no other amenities. So very reasonably priced. Thank you for a perfect stay, we woukd definitely return.

The property was nestled between the restaurants and shops and my room had a balcony over the canal. It was relaxing to watch the gondola's pass under me. Host and his little dog were wonderful. Communication before I arrived at the property was excellent as all my questions were answered. I love the decor because it gave me the feel of Venice 100 years ago, but with air conditioning and a great shower. I would definitely stay there again.

We stayed at Hotel Al Sotoportego for 3 nights. GREAT location. Lots of restaurants and shops around. The hotel was really easy to find. We took the water taxi from the airport and with Google Maps as our guide we walked to the hotel in about 10 minutes (not far at all). We arrived quite late in the day so the concierge left our room key in an envelope with my name on it and two complimentary bottles of water. Our room was great! Perfect for a 3 night stay. No issues with cleanliness or comfort. The room had lots of charm. The air conditioning worked GREAT - it was definitely nice to come into a cool room after a long day in the sun. There was a mini fridge in our room which was awesome to have for drinks. The concierge was SO nice. He was so willing to give us recommendations for places to eat, places to walk, directions, help buying train tickets etc. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place to other travellers going to Venice! It was a great place to stay.

The property was easy to find and decorated so beautifully. The staff was spectacular. I can’t say enough nice things about it. It was a little noisy but it’s a bit expected given the location and the hotel provided ear plugs. The bed was not too comfortable but the price was great and I would still come back!
