We just stayed for 8 nights at the Sankara for our honeymoon and absolutely loved everything about it. To start, we had a one bedroom pool villa (Bima) that was gorgeous. It had the perfect amount of privacy and comfort. The cleaning staff were great and made our room like new each and every day. The staff were excellent. Always greeting as we came in and out without missing a beat making sure we had everything we needed. 2 staff members we’d like to point out are Ronney and Roseana. Ronney is a driver and he was the best. He showed us around all the local food spots, the cultural places and also some fun places Bali has to offer. He was with us the whole time taking pictures and taught us a lot about the Bali culture. Thanks Ronney!! Roseana was a masseuse and she gave me the best massage I’ve ever had. I recommend the spa. It was worth every dollar. Bar drinks were great, the food was excellent for both breakfast and dinner. We give the Sankara a 10/10. Thanks for having us and making our honeymoon as amazing as it was!

We booked a deluxe , king bed room and we’ve got an old room in the very back of the resort, very noisy because it was located right next to a pickle ball court. We asked to change the room but it was not possible for two sleepless nights. We set an appointment with the manager, but the person did not come for the appointment. Overall, very nice concept and design of the resort, but the service has to improve a lot . All staff very nice , pleasant and trying to help, but missing the guidance of management and resources!

I rarely leave reviews, but felt that with the two week experience that we had, we needed to share. The staff were highly hospitable, accommodating, attentive, courteous, friendly, and honest. The grounds and amenities were impeccable and the service was above anything we have ever experienced as an annual traveler. The hotel shuttle and transportation to and from the airport were timely. The tours that the hotel provided were reasonably priced and well put together. We look forward to coming back again one day.

Very nice property. Not to far from some of the main area's in Ubud. You have good cafes that are within 10 minutes by car with out traffic. Traffic can increase travel times. The staff went above and beyond to make sure your stay is going perfect. The A/C works great. Great smart TV that you can connect to your personal set up.

The Sankara Resort & Spa was a nice quaint resort. While it was in the jungle, it was misleading on the Expedia website when it was said it was only 34 minutes away from the Bali International Airport. That is completely false. It was an hour and a half drive away from the hotel. Next the room was satisfactory and as advertised; however, there was a stale/moldy smell inside the room. I'm not sure how old the establishment is or their general maintenance of the place, but that made it somewhat uneasy to breathe at times. The staff were absolutely amazing and very accommodating. They did everything they possibly could to make sure you were happy and satisfied. The spa service was a little too costly, but my discount was applied to my bill since it was offered when I booked on Expedia. Overall my stay was pleasant and amenable. I would stay there again, but it would be nice to see some upgrades in decor and in the upkeep of the place even though it was very clean from beginning to end. Slightly noisy though due to construction next door and also the other upstairs guests weren't being very neighborly.

The Sankara property is beautiful in terms of views, gardens, and pools. The staff was always very friendly. There is room for improvement in terms of some of the facilities - all of the chairs in the restaurant were stained as well as some of the furniture in the rooms. The sink was clogged and the shower barely got hot with poor water pressure. There is also a lot of construction around the area, and there is a pool club right beside the resort. Therefore, it is quite noisy during the day. Overall I would not choose to stay there again - your money would go farther elsewhere considering how expensive it is.

Amazing resort and villas. Just the most beautiful property. Tranquil respite from the bustle of ubud, but still close to the monkey forest and good restaurants. Villas exceptional lovely spacious and a great pool. Would stay again.

The place was very accommodating when we needed to abruptly change our schedule there. We had a villa with a pool that was very private and very refreshing after a day hiking around Bali. They did not explain their shuttle service correctly. Be aware that it only goes on the schedule printed and if you want to get picked up in the center of Uber, you still have to notify them. It’s really not a regularly scheduled shuttle. Also there is loud construction next-door with drilling and hammering until 9 PM but hopefully this will be completed soon. It only affected the restaurant (very good food and good cultural dancing), the rooms themselves were quite quiet.

Construction noise is constant and I would not have booked had I known this. You can’t at pool and enjoy without hearing major construction happening on both sides. Resort itself is fine. Room was large, bed was fine. Staff was very kind and very attentive . Breakfast was very good. Lunch choices were just ok. You are about 15 min from city center on a Grab bike. My main problem is that if you are expecting a serene setting for your Bali trip this is not it for a while.

I stayed here with my sister and absolutely loved it. We had our own deluxe pool villa and the pool was beautifully maintained. The entire place felt like a peaceful escape, and the complimentary foot massage was honestly so good, I never wanted it to end. The food was healthy, fresh, and so flavorful, especially the floating breakfast, which felt straight out of a dream. The views? Unreal. Jungle paradise vibes all around. There’s a bit of a walk from the villa to the lobby, but we treated it as our mini cardio session. Also, the fruit here was next-level fresh which made me realize how fake some food feels back in the U.S. 😂 Lots of mosquitos tho so pack repellent!

I had a wonderful stay at the Sankara resort. It was a great experience provided from the staff from check-in through my check-out. Every staff at all the facilities were great as well. Everyone is always cheerful and never missed a smile or a hello. It was very well maimtained property and the staff made you feel welcomed everytime I came back from my day out. I would stay there again and recommend it for anyone staying in Ubud.
