“The Triton Experience”… If you're expecting the peaceful, beautiful escape shown online, you have just as much chance of finding Narnia as you do finding those photos in real life. DONT BE FOOLED BY THE PHOTOS. These photos are taken from another dimention, during the last ice age or when dinosaurs still roamed the earth. What I arrived to looked nothing like the pictures. In my opinion, the place is damaged, neglected and misrepresented, and that's me being polite. They do not have the amenities available as advertised! And the road? To call it a Road is ambitious. Think obstacle course meets survival challenge without warning. Its more like a 1.8km death trap disguised as a driveway. If you don’t have a 4x4, a tow truck, a firefighting unit, first aid training and some good luck, you DO NOT stand a chance. None of this was mentioned when booking, of course. Instead of repairing the road, someone thought it was a brilliant idea to throw a thick layer of dried leaves to “fix” it. Spoiler alert: They didn't. My car got stuck and caught on FIRE due to the dry leaves and heated engin. Yes. Flames. Smoke. And a baby in the back seat. After all that chaos, I didn't even get to stay there because I couldnt get to the lodge. I had to find emergency accommodation elsewhere. And when I asked for a refund? All I received was excuses. NO REFUND, NO FEEDBACK My advice: Book somewhere else....

Don’t be shy! The Lodge is slowly doing some necessary repairs and maintenance, but that will happen slowly over time, in the meantime come and stay for the kind, accommodating, friendly, and professional staff! Communal kitchen, fire pit, and pool! Was a great stay and I learned some new diving tips and will return in the future if I’m here again.

Extremely hospitable and welcoming people. Venue was far better than Toad Tree House next door. Lovely night sleep in a well appointed unit, good value for money

Wenn Du keinen Geländegängigen Vierradantrieb Wagen hast bleibe von der Titon Tauchbasig fern. Der Weg dahin ist wie eine Wüste und mit einem normal PKW nicht zu schaffen. Es sei denn es Regnet gerade. Die gesammte Anlage ist völlig verwarlost. Wir wahren in drei Wochen die einzigen Gäste. Und das auch nur weil ich schon bei Expedia gebucht und Bezahlt hatte. Tauchen kann man da nicht. Jeder der bei Triton Bucht wird zu einer andren Tauchbasis umgeleitet. Wir wurden Bestohlen. Unsere Hüte wurden von einem Mitarbeiter Gestohlen und den Besitzern war das wohl egal. Triton nie wieder.

needs update: it is for self-catering

Their description needs to be updated; there was no restaurant and no bar. They provide catering upon notice, but basically it is for self-catering. If you are not diving or spending time outside the lodge, consider that there are no amenities like lounge chairs around the small pool etc. The staff was absolutely great.
