Surrounded by native forest and bird song, this little bach in the trees was made for nature lovers. The views of the sea were magical and the hosts are such great people, giving us lots of local information on things to do and see.

Everything was amazing. Pete and Wendi are lovely, kind, knowledgeable hosts. The house itself is beautiful, cosy and welcoming with a deliciously comfy bed and the best view ever. The flora, fauna and rocks are incredible. Cannot recommend highly enough making the bumpy journey to this wee slice of paradise.

What a gem- Pete and Wendi were incredibly hospitable and welcoming. The property was spotlessly clean. The sea views were stunning and is surrounded by beautiful native birdlife. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. A perfect romantic and private getaway.

Paradise found

Such an amazing place and lovely hosts! The views are unbeatable! Love the closeness to nature and you can really calm down here. The only mistake was booking for two nights only, coming back to nz we will definitely come back to stay longer! Thanks for all your help!

A Lovely Hideaway

Wendi and Peter have created a perfect retreat nestled in a bit of paradise. The cabin is welcoming and comfortable, with everything you need to have a restful or adventurous time. We loved that the cottage reflected the place and the people who love it.

A "must book" listing

An absolutely perfect stay. It's a no-brainer to visit this charming and beautiful house in the hills. Well, only if you like very cool hosts, stunning views, a gorgeous vantage for many varieties of local birds, warm and colourful skies at sunset and an unpolluted view of the stars at night. We had a wonderful time- to say the least. I wish we lived closer. I'm going to do my darnedest to visit again! XoThanks a million for having us!

Magical Getaway

Beautifully situated in an area where NZ wildlife surrounds you in full privacy. The views are spectacular and the surrounding beaches are amazing - Boulder Bay was great for snorkeling and it had a lovely bush walk to get to. I highly recommend for anyone who is looking for a relaxing holiday away from their busy lives - never been more relaxed in my life ever!

A must stay!

We had a 2 night stay-Wendy helped us take our gear to the cabin, told us about the amenities, the surrounds etc Everything is there to stay very comfortably. Decor is cool and the view-magnificent. I couldn't/didn't want to sleep because the night sky was amazing. I can truly say, we loved it! Wanted to stay longer!

Fabulous break in the tree tops

Best view from the bed. Our hosts Pete and Wendy were absolutely gorgeous. We had the best time ever. Break from the hustle and bustle, loved being amongst the tree canopy and getting to know the local bird life. Property is immaculate, perfect place to wind down. This place doesn't disappoint and is way cooler than we expected. We loved it.

Divine bach experience

Peter and Wendy were wonderful hosts from the get-go and helped guide and direct us towards the bach with complete ease. They also helped us load our belongings into the bach for the short walk up to the bach! The bach itself is beyond serene - fully equipped with every little thoughtful thing to make the guests feel more welcome, at home, and comfortable! We absolutely loved the whole experience right from the start to the end. The sounds of the birds, the scenic view from every window at the property, and the absolute sense of peace was the perfect way to get a little escape and taste the beauty of NZ. Would a 100% recommend this spot to any nature lover or just anyone looking to restore themselves from the daily hustle of every day life!
